Kyrgios deserves a bonus not a fine !

Kyrgios has done more for tennis publicity then any other player remotely close to his rank.
WE all know that publicity is everything in todays world.
Tennis as a sport only profits from this kind of behavior since in these days since its very rare
and it brings new life in a boring sport.
Tennis today is generic, everyone is acting the same and if they dont they get crazy fines.
It was not like this 20 years ago when Ivanisevic broke all the rackets and left the match.
He didnt get banned.

He lost the match and that is enough punishment for him.
People that bet on other people already lost.
And Kyrgios should get a bonus money.
Suprised by the ban, but given his previous offence the logic is pretty clear. Doubt Kyrgios was doing much the rest of the season. He won Japan and unless he's a petulant fool, he'll be back in time for Australia with a new psychology courtesty of the ATP.

You realize there is a difference between words and actions?
Negativity usually starts with words.

How would you classify people who use terms like you used above? Classy perhaps?

And then labeling fans of the Williams sisters as trashy?
What is up with that?
Is that perhaps classy as well?

:D

Not really to do with Fedal, this is actually a general tendency. People are much more politically correct than 20 years ago, that attitude also shows in tennis. You can't do anything anymore that in the slightest could insult or displease someone.

Kyrgios wouldn't be a bad guy in the 90's. Because if you think about it, he hasn't really done something really bad, maybe apart from the 'Kokk banged' stuff. But every little thing he says get scrutinized, and media makes him a bad villain, while he's only guilty of being an idiot and a little brat at times. In the 90's they would just laugh it off. I mean, so far, this guy ain't even close to McEnroe levels.

You say politically correct i say
people are less tolerant then ever to each other.

That politically correct stuff is just made up crap that doesnt include most everyday people, its only forced on small groups.
You can call whole nations , religions , bigots and terrorist you can say what ever you want about anyone except some very small group of people.
And that group can say what ever they want .
That is not correct or tolerant.

Kyrgios is a coward who gives up easily. If he doesn't tank he'd probably just cry when opponents beat him. He tanks so that he can handle the loss. He said that he is soft.

He maybe is coward and soft but compared to who.
Only the best of the best in tennis world and even this can change very fast .
Is he a coward compared to average joe.
No he is Rocky Balboa compared to average joe.
He fights against others for millions of dollars.
You need the balls of steel for this.
If he was soft then thousands could play and win millions in tennis.
Not only 50 people in the world from thousands and thousands who practice hard daily.

There's being a competitive jackA, which is what we like to see in doses, versus TANKING, which is absolutely pathetic and worthless to watch.

90% more talk about tennis in media just because of this tanking.
Which means 90% raise of tennis in media time.
So i dont see how its worthless for the sport, in fact no one can pay for such promotion.

I bet anyone here that his next match will be most watch match first round match in the next tournament.
So i dont think people will think its worthless to watch.

No mate i would love it.
Maybe i would shout at him and booed at him.
Maybe i would scream to him coooooommmon mate you can do it, i dont know.....
All in all i would have had a great time, normal matches are boring most of the time for anyone.
Plus how many people can say they watched a pro player tank.
It beats any other story.

I always loved to watch crazy people play you never know what they are going to do,not only me but everyone comes to watch that.
its very entertaining even if you hate what they do.
Only thing is such players never make it to pro lvl.

Or let other people do it and just enjoy the show, all the same.

How many sport matches have a huge build up and hype and then you watch it and it turns out to be so boring and disappointing.
You get super hyped and the match is crap.
I can safely say most of the time its like this.
I always remember Klitschko box.Man its like pulling teeth, so boring i never watch it until the end.

Kyrgios did way more then that not because he tanked but
because he has done something unpredictable.
And that is entertaining.
I admit there are better matches to watch , but way way worse ones were no one even tanks
and you just want to leave.

Its amazing how hard she tries to look feminine and hot, which does quite the opposite.
She is teaching how to twerk but doesnt want to face her ass to camera so she can still stay classy.
Failed both at being hot and classy.
2x fail
And poor role model for young girls.
3x fail in a single vid.

No mate negativity starts and ends with words.
You could say that is not classy and call it a day.
Negativity starts when people go for a witch hunt coz of few words that harm no one really,
but that which hunt and labeling people can do harm.

People are much more politically correct than 20 years ago, that attitude also shows in tennis.

Serena teaching kids how to twerk is politically correct ,
but tanking a match isnt.
I need to write this down to remember.

Maybe i start coaching kids and teach them twerking as a fitness or warm up.
Would that be politically correct.

Serenas message for the kids

BETTER TWERK THEN TANK.
*Soon to be taught in tennis academys around the world

OP praises Kyrgios but bashes Serena?!? He's lost all right to claiming any knowledge of tennis.

Just putting out the facts mate.
So i guess you would you like to see kids learn how to twerk in their tennis practice.
Boys and girls together just to be politically correct.

Why didnt wada test her after this match? We all know why, she is above the law.
You were clearly attacking the fans of the Willliams sisters of being trashy.
Are you willing to take that statement back or at least qualify it?

Kyrgios can can shape up and continue the path he is on which is top 5 atp, which is most likely.
Or he can tank few more matches and lose the ranking.
It cant go for long in any case.

No,that is just not classy .
but labeling people who called fans of the Williams sisters trashy with : hitler, bigot, racist, hater and so on.
That is when negativity really starts.

So Serena can't have fun off the court, but Kyrgios should be able to tank on it? Genius logic mate.

Tennis stars cant act in any way to harm the integrity of the sport, on and off court.
Teaching kids how to twerk in a mid day is fun activity for her.
I need to write that down,
Maybe its a family thing and the whole family should do it.

If you read my previous post, you'll see I clearly don't consider political correctness and tolerance as synonyms.

Political correctness forbids people to say certain things about other people, and is intolerant of ideas or statements that doesn't abide to its rules.

You are correct that some groups have more privileges in the PC world than others.

So, to restate what I said: Increased political correctness had lead to increased intolerance and much ado about nothing about guys like Kyrgios, who is a clown 50% of the time, and an entertaining player the other 50%. Not a villain in my book, but in the PC world you are quick to become a villain. It's a world in which people who said bad things are at times considered worse than murderers.

Kyrgios is a primadonna, a cry baby and an embarrassment to the Aussie tradition. What he deserves is a good fist beating administered by some real bosses, like Laver and Rosewall.

PS: Hey maxxy, seems like your other Kyrgios threads are dropping like infield flies.

Exactly, a crybaby, a tanker, a coward. He gives up when the going gets tough.
