Laserfibre Clamps

I have a laserfibre ms200tt and i was wondering on how you tighten the clamnps on the machine. Also i have only had one problem with this machine. The problem is that the rackets are tending to slip and i know that i am mounting it properly. If anyone has any suggestions i would greatly appreciate it.

There is an allen head nut near the top of the clamp. Test on a piece of scrap string before you string. Never had a racket slip on me, make sure you tighten the hold down clamps firmly. Test by trying to move the frame once the rotation stops are met. Hope this helps.

If the facts of the matter are:

1. You are mounting the racquet properly - as per your testimony;

2. The MS200TT design is a proven safe and effective design that has strung a ridiculous amount of frames with no slippage or distortion - as per my personal experience; and

3 You are mounting a frame (or frames) with a standard design racquet throat - speculation on my part.

Then one can only assume that your particular machine is defective. For it to be anything else, either you would have to be incorrect in your assertation that you are mounting frames properly, or I must have lucked out and got the only MS200TT that is worth a crap - or my speculation on the type of racquet you are mounting is incorrect and you have not noticed the difficutlies of mounting such racquets on a Laserfibre.

If you would care to challenge the notion that you are mounting the frame properly - try those things suggested by Racketeer. On more thing you may want to check is the height adjustment of the throat billiards. These will need to be adjusted according to the beam width of the racquet in the throat area. If they are set too low - then there is nothing to stop the frame from sliding out of its mount. I set mine about 1/8" below the grommets when there is no hold down pressure applied. Then when I apply hold down pressure, the rubber on the mounting post compresses some and the billiards settle in just below the grommets - allowing for maximum security.

There is also the possibility that you are trying to string a racquet that effectively has no beam width at the throat area (like an Aero). If that is the case - you may need a special adapter that is available through Laserfibre.

Good luck.
