Least games against to win a slam... (Borg 78 FO was amazing)

Was just looking through some player history data on ATPtennis.com, and just noticed that Borg lost only 32 games when winning the 1978 French, all full matches with no withdrawals.

Sure, in total losing 32 games sounds like it's not that impressive, and then you think that there's 21 sets played, it's an average of 1.53 games per set... incredible!

Anyone know if there's any more impressive data than this? I know Graf had some pretty amazingly dominant wins too, be interesting to know what the most impressive (numerical) slam wins on the men's and women's sides are....

Note 10 of top 13 were on clay, as you would expect.

Wow! Thanks for that - I wonder what on earth the odds were of me stumbling on that... I literally just happened to be scrolling through Borg's results and noticed that particular slam was impressive....

Hops - I note you have tennis28.com in your footer, i assume either you're a fan or it's your site or you're involved or similar. Is there an equivalent for the wta?

Scanning through graf's results, i found the 20-game win at the 98 french below. There's probably some others (nav, evert, court, king, williams, seles, hingis, more?) that should be looked at, but this one gets under the 1.5 games per set (just) and is impressive nonetheless - go the double-bagel in the final! (and how mad would the fans have been )

People to young to remember Borg have no idea how dominate he was. For that matter, to many fans don't even consider retired players when they proclaim Federer the GOAT. While he may some day be considered the GOAT, he still has many more years and accomplishments to go before that title will fit.

yes, it's my site. I do have a few WTA stats scattered about (e.g. slam winners saving match point) but doing ATP takes enough time that duplicating everything for the WTA is beyond me. There are WTA sites out there but don't know of one exactly like mine.
