Tru Pro Black Knight
Hyper G Soft
That's funny that you like both of these - I love BK but haaaated Hyper G Soft. The control is awesome with BK, Hyper G Soft just felt like a rocket launcher with zero feel to me.

My favorites:
Tru Pro Black Knight (Control, Tension Maintenence)
Grapplesnake Tour Sniper (Control, Spin)
Laserfibre GT (Spin, Power)

Kirschbaum Max Power (Responsiveness, Feel, Tension Maintenance)
Tru Pro Black Knight (Control, Tension Maintenence)
Tru Pro Ghostwire as a cross only (Comfort, Tension Maintenence)

Updated the diagram to only show those with at least 2 votes because there are too many of them. A little surprised Tru Pro Black Knight is so far among the top 3 along with YPTP and ALU Power and above Hyper-G.

Kirschbaum Max Power (Responsiveness, Feel, Tension Maintenance)
Tru Pro Black Knight (Control, Tension Maintenence)
Tru Pro Ghostwire as a cross only (Comfort, Tension Maintenence)

PTP (feel, response, control, comfort)
Hawk (control, long playability, tension maintenance)
Solstice Power (spin, control)

Does responsiveness/response mean pocketing for you, or is it more about spin/snap back?

@fieryoOo For me, it describes how much feedback the string provides on contact. Its polar opposite would be muted/dead.

In case you’re wondering how this is different to what I describe as “feel”… “feel” for me describes a string that helps me play better touch/finesse shots.

1. Gamma Moto (my favorite in almost every respect, not even considering low price) +tension maintenance +spin +control +feel
2. Poly Tour Fire (my favorite cross string, contradicting to other reports for me it really works better than other round polys, but possibly there is a little bit Placebo effect because it feels so slippery with its silicone coating) +spin +control
3. Head Lynx (for stiff frames or players who need a softer string) +comfort +power +spin

Revising my favorites after tonight - now I’m with everyone here who mentioned Element. Tried it in a Blade 98 16x19 tonight and it was absolute silk. Perfect control and comfort, but somehow wasn’t skimping on power. Strung it at 46#

I care mostly about comfort and tension maintenance.
My favorite is HyperG Soft 17 or 18G (on a 18x20 racquet).
Honorable mention: Tier one Black knight.
I'm in the same boat.
Looking for a poly that gives me comfort (as best as a poly can) and keeps it tension well.
I recently played with HG Soft and really liked it. I never tried it before, only HG.
Confidential turned me off polys b/c of causing arm issues for me.
I went full multi for about a year but recently noticed how much spin and control I was giving up after a couple of outings playing with some demos with HG Soft and PTP. Also, really liked PTP.
Ordered a set of Tour Bite Soft 18g based on a recommendation, so will see how that plays.

I will begin my new racquet and string journey with a WO XTD 18x20 and Kirschbaum Flash, then Tour Bite Soft, then. . .
Any recommendations welcome!

I've been using Hyper-G for quite some time now and it took a while to find the ideal tension for me and that's around 54 or 55. At that tension, it's usable for at least 20 hours. I'm going to continue hitting with them to see where get too loose. I don't actually want to play with it at 54 or 55 but there's a big tension drop after about 2 hours and that gets me to where I want it to be and it stays there or slightly lower for a very long time.

I have no arm issues with the strings at all. The only problem I've had is that they get too loose if I try stringing it low so I went high and it works out. The biggest savings is trips to the stringer and back.

It is possible that there is a better string out there for me but I hate the testing process so I'll just stick with what I have unless something turns up that's far superior with lots of testimonials.

Tourna Silver 7 Tour - duration, balance of power and control, good spin. Also one of the best value strings around in my opinion.

Tie it to a door handle and pre stretch by hand...pull it like 20 times till you get the coil memory out... normal hand pull is like 15 to kilos so it don't harm it

My top 5:

1. Grapplesnake Alpha 17
2. Grapplesnake Alpha 17
3. Grapplesnake Alpha 17
4. Grapplesnake Alpha 17
5. Grapplesnake Alpha 17
How does this string feel/play compared to HyperG, HG SOft, or ALU Power or Tour Bite soft?
Good tension maintenance?
Love the color!

I don't carry my own reel these days. I just bring my racquet to the stringer with my info and what I want taped to the handle and drop it off with the receptionist and pick it up a few days later. Stringing is so cheap compared to ALU Power that it's not worth it to stock it at home.

wilson revolve 16 (round)
rpm blast (looks pretty round to me)
isospeed baseline control (round)

It is by far wilson revolve 16 white. Feels very solid on contact. Maybe muted which is the way i prefer. When stringed below 49lb, its slicky coat gives the ball tons of spin which for a round string is saying alot. Im not a string breaker (i use full poly - syn or multi start fraying at warmup) so this string will last 2 months playing 4 matches per week with less than 10lb differential. I string at 50lb. I usually cut them when they stop snapping back to its place. ($168/reel)

Rpm blast mimic alot revolve so i use it when i cannot find revolve. However rpm costs more so i try to keep relove in stock. i believe this string also comes with a slicky coat, but it dries pretty quick. ($256/reel)

Another string that i really like is isospeed baseline control. Very similar with the previos strings with a little more crispiness? (i basically feel a little vibration on contact) which to me translates to cheap feeling. But for the price, you cannot go wrong on this string. ($40/reel)
