Longest streak at each Grand Slam for winning/losing to eventual champion

What is each Grand Slam's longest streak for a player having the most consecutive championships/losing to the eventual champion at one Grand Slam?

I would think it is:

Australian Open
Federer, from 2004-2011, 8 years, Federer either won or lost to the eventual champion

French Open
Lendl, from 1981-1987, 7 years, Lendl either won or lost to the eventual champion

Wimbledon
Sampras, from 1993-2000, 8 years, Sampras either won or lost to the eventual champion

US Open
Lendl, from 1982-1992, 11 years, either won or lost to the eventual champion

Lendl's at the USO is impressive ..

overall would be federer from 2004 wimbledon to 2010 AO I assume - 23 (basically the length of his semi streak)
And then from 2012 AO through 2014 RG all 9 of his GS losses were to players who did not win the tournament, quite a turnaround.

Finally stopped that streak in 2014 Wimb final.

interesting indeed. though, given the thread, it should be from 2012 USO as he won 2012 wimbledon, so 7 slams ..

Yup. 15 titles, 5 runner-ups(all to Rafa), and 3 semi losses(to three different champs). Unbelievable how consistent Roger was in his prime.
