Looking to Upgrade to an Electric Machine

Hey everyone.

I’m looking to get a new machine, but need help deciding.

I have been looking at the Tourna 850-ES, Tourna Cube, Alpha Ghost 2, and the Baiardo.
Because of the Baiardo price, I’m looking to stay away from that if you guys think one of the others can hold up well

I am currently stringing on a Tourna 350-CS.
I have two, one at the pro shop and one at home.

Thanks in Advance!

I can get you in touch with a guy to get whole sale pricing on Tourna Machines. Baiardo can had for $4800 new.
I have an ES-700 and love it. I paid $2750 shipped for it, but this was back in 2021 before pandemic supply chain issues / inflation. Quotes at the time or the Cube was $3415, 800-ES was $3150.

I wouldn't say the Baiardo is $2150 better than the Tourna machines. However I imagine the pricing difference is much smaller these days.

Baiardo is probably the best, but if you're the only one stringing on it, I don't think the electronic height adjustment, profiles, etc is necessary.

Also, I love the Tourna clamps!

Thank you for the feedback!! I also know someone who can get the Tourna Machines at wholesale. So that’s kinda why i was mostly looking into them.
Do you know any major differences between the cube and 850? Besides looks lol.

Skip the Cube. It has old-style clamps, is bulky. I see no reason to get it.

I don't know the price difference currently between the 700 and 850. I personally don't care about the auto electronic brake or height adjustment, so I didn't get the 850. Same reason why I didnt get the Baiardo (they also won't in stock ANYWHERE when I was looking).

I would get the 700-ES or the Baiardo personally. Depending on the price difference. Baiardo will have easily resale no doubt. But you'll be happy either way.

I can 100% recommend the 850-ES as it is the machine I am using currently. Excellent Machine.

I looked at the Cube as well but didn't like it as much design-wise and didn't see any advantages it offered over the 850.

Do you use the height adjustment often?

If you considering the ghost 2 maybe go with the solinco eagle? All the same features of the ghost + more. The prince and head TE are also made by the same manufacturer.

out of your above list I would say go tourna. Since you can get wholesale price that is the best route. The clamp bases on the 700 and 850 are the best designed. I’ve never been on one of their machines. Hopefully one day. Haven’t seen any complaints about their build quality or electronic mechanisms.

i own a ghost 2. The features of the tensioner are as minimal as you can get. I suppose if you are having different employees string on your machine, less features are better since it is hard to mess up.

I would also appreciate being directed to a Tourna discount. Do you happen to know how much a 700-ES can be had for? Thanks.
