Roger Federer, closing on four decades on this Earth, unfurls yet another masterpiece!

Stunning the way that happens sometimes.

There's always next time, of course.

But still... guess that answers a few questions, eh? :sneaky:

No moonballing, no 40 stroke rallies. Pathetic display from Federer.

Could we please slow down these WTF courts so we can watch real tennis?

80%? Yeah right. Can't belive you are for real.
The Djoker we saw today has no percent. When he does not care like today, he can have moments that are incredible, followed by "whatever" shots. Zero emotion showed.

Want and passion are huge. In my personal opinion, when Djoker shows passion and wants something, he usually takes it. When it's absent, it's there to be taken from him. WC19 is a good example of this, but Fed did not take advantage of it. He did today.

He delivered when needed for his friend :). Thanks for helping in Nadal getting YE#1 and Nadal is helping you in making weeks record a bit safer.

However this bon-homie will not last long if Nadal reaches SF. Though i'll not be much worried if he doesn't.

A Fedal knockout match here would be the unexpected benefit of the truck tire called Thiem that came outta nowhere. I had Fedal in their best Laver Cup outfits this weekend, holding hands in the stands taking turns at stabbing their Djoko voodoo dolls.

Indoor big titles:

Djokovic 10
Federer 6
I see the false propaganda is still the only item on your list.

Federer could potentially earn his 300th tour-level victory indoors next week in London. He holds a 296-68 record indoors, having won more than 81 per cent of his matches. No other active player has 150 wins indoors.
The 38-year-old has captured 26 ATP Tour trophies indoors, which ranks fifth in the Open Era. The nearest active player on the list is Andy Murray, who has 15.

Connors is the GOAT then, with 109 titles. Or Laver with 180 titles.

Great win for Rog but a round robin nitto win can never be for the ages.

Win is being overblown but it had big implications for the YE #1, it was an important match for Djokovic although he didn't play like it...

i Like the photo, as if he's just won the Wimbledon final.(not !)

You could sense how triggered Fed was not to lose again to Novak after what transpired in W.

Good win for him, and (very) bad stat for Novak to lose to a 38 year pappy. His bad streak outside slams just keeps repeating itself, regardless of his claims in front of the medias.

Rafa is saying thank you.

Wait until Rafa is 38 and then we'll talk.
Don't you think there is some kind of irony here? When Federer was 31, 32, 33 his fans used to write "let's wait until Nadal and Djokovic reach that age". Now when they actually do pretty well at that age it turns to "let's wait until they are 38". I don't expect Nadal to win slams at 38, but it's still interesting how the age when you become old change every year. I think Nadal will just stop playing when he feels he can't win big titles anymore.

Djokovic exhibits the "not care" behaviour 90% of the times he is losing.... It's just how he is/coping mechanism. There are instances where you can even see it go on and off during one match itself. Watch the 2nd set of RG 2011 SF, that was the worst of this behaviour I've seen, but yet he was fired up and emotional for the last two sets.

Well, no one could have predicted the competition could be this lame when Djokodal are 31,32,33.
