I would've loved to see that match, as Junqueira has very firey shots... very similar to Puerta he explodes onto the ball. Look in the next few years for Junqueira to do some damage on clay.

Thanks for posting. Puerta was practicing at the club where I live for about two weeks. He was smoking the ball. Ton of spin.

Very nice guy too. I got the opportnity to hit with him once for about 5 -10 minutes. Scary, even when just lightly warming up and taking it easy.

^^ I got to hit with him a few days after I took this vid. The pro here, carlos introduced us when this vid was taken.

A few days later, while he was waiting for Carlos, I happened to be walking onto one of the back courts, so got to knock a few around with him. I've never hit a heavier ball, and he was just warming up, and taking it very easy. Still, the amount of spin he generates is awesome. I can't even imagine how heavy it would be when he is playing all out.

makes me wonder how the hell Agassi returned Sampras serves which were over 5000+ rpms of spin. Truly unreal the level these guys play at.

Puerta won 1:st rd in geneve challenger in switzerland. He won 6-7 (1) 6-2 6-3 against swede Micke Ryderstedt. He now faces Damian Patriarca, also from Argentina.

Puerta has displayed very strange results this season. He won the big challenger in Bogota a month ago and played very well, but the he lost 1:st rd in Kazahstan challenger as nr 1 seed against a bloke from serbia ranked around 450. He has also lost to Tkalec (around 400-500 ranking).

Puerta seems to be a really nice and down to earth guy. What I have experienced from him when he was in Båstad a couple of years ago he was very down to earth.

I wish him all the best and really really hope he soon get some success on the ATP circuit

My experience with his as well. Hope he could make it back to the top again, but it seems unlikely.
