mid court and at net grip

I was taught to use continental grip for everything other than forehand and backhand, but recently i have some doubt about this:
1. this video suggests using between continental and eastern forehand grip for forehand volley
2. in udemy's agassi's tennis class, he told that he use eastern forehand grip for overhead
3. this video suggests using eastern forehand grip for half volley
4. some links suggest using eastern forehand grip for forehand slice (they also suggest using continental grip for forehand slice)

I tried to use between continental and eastern forehand grip for forehand volley and forehand slice. The result is much better than continental grip. forehand volley has much better control and fault tolerance; forehand slice also has better control and more pace.
I tried overhead with that grip, but didn't feel very well; maybe that requires more practice.

I can think of two problems about this approach:
1. there is less time to change grip at net, so switch between continental and eastern forehand grip to more conservative continental grip for backhand volley can be challenging.
2. is it really good for club level player to use that grip for overhead?

Of course the weak continental (also called an Aussie grip) is good for overhead? Why not? Overhead grip should be same as serving grip. Are you trying to use Aussie grip for volleys (FH and BH) and a different grip for serves? Why would you want to do that? Aussie grip is good serve grip. Can hit flat or spin.

I prefer to go on the assumption that there's no time to change grips up at the net. If you can get comfortable with defaulting to a continental grip when you move forward, you'll never be pressed for time with resetting your grip when you're up there.

In terms of the forehand slice, I think that can be a really useful shot, but I don't think I ever hit that one after I'm already up at the net. I usually use it back around the baseline or perhaps a little ways inside the baseline if I'm hitting an approach shot. I pretty much use a continental grip for my forehand slice, but if you're not "at the net" and you get a better result when you shade your grip position a little toward eastern forehand for your slice, I don't think you're doing anything wrong.
