More powerful poly strings still easy on the arm?

I play with Tourna Blue strung at 54lbs tension.

I like them because they are soft, I get decent power out of them, and it doesn't hurt my arm/elbow like the harder polys did.

I need a little more power, though, can anybody recommend better strings along these lines?

I was thinking about it. Would that give me more power? I'm afraid of the ball flying off my strings.

You will actually get more dwell time with a lower tension. You won't get more power, since lower tension will only give you more spin and a higher launch angle. It will also make the stringbed softer.

Hopefully, tomorrow I can give 1st impressions of KirshbaumSpikyShark 16 at 38 lbs on one of my Bio300T's weighted to 11 something and 320 SW's.
The control racket is a Bio300T with Ice17 at 51 lbs., waaay too tight for me.

not powerful. Very low powered in fact.

Spin to Win....
I"m not looking for power, as I have plenty for my age group.
What I need is more consistent play and consistent deep placement's to win more matches, using control over power, or brains over braun.
I"m looking for easy power, so I can groove for depth, not ball bashing.
And I"m looking for control in drop shots and short angles, slice lobs, and all volleys.

I KNOW this thread is about obtaining more POWER!
But, there are different solutions to the same question.
You can just use a stiffer big racket, like a PDR+.
You can lower tensions so you don't have to swing as hard to get easy power, and use easy power in your game, since none of us have any real MAXimum power anyways.
You can swing faster, using tighter strings, but that requires you to swing fast each and every time, possibly limiting your MAXimum power by that alone.
You can add more SW and overall weight.
You can decrease head size to get an easier to swing fast racket.
You can work out and train to swing faster, with better kinetics, more muscle and more muscle control.
But overall, we are limited by what we got from genes, so whle I'd like to hit like Goran, I"m probably gonna spend the rest of my tennis career hitting like a shriveled up old man who's weak and injured.

You should try Weiss Cannon Black 5 Edge. That is a total control and spin string.

Thanks for the reco....
The racket is already strung, at 38 lbs., so the rules stated don't apply at all at those tensions.
I might hate it that soft.
More likely, I'll like it OK, and wish the other 12 rackets were close to that tension. But no way, I can wholesale restring 12 other rackets at a lower tension.

Hi LeeD,

thought you might be interested -- I have been playing with the Bio300T for the last year and a half and experimenting with many setups. My favorite playing racquet is leaded up with 4.5 grams lead at 12 o'clock and 1.5 grams at 3 and 9. I added a Vokl leather grip plus Wilson overgrip -- total weight around 338 grams. I tried a few polys and lots of tensions -- finally settled on Pro's Pro Plus Power at 42/40. This setup gives me everything I need -- easy power and spin on my serve, great control and easy spin on groundies as well as lots of feel for a poly. This string also plays well at tensions from 30 to 56 lbs, but at higher tensions I didn't get the pop on my serves that I do at 40, while at super low tensions (30lbs) I hated the lack of sound when I hit my shots -- I also felt my serve wasn't as controlled.

Should also mention the above setup is very comfortable

I run 15" of 1/4" lead along the head, the same amount under the grip, and switching to a leather grip when I pick up my racket.

2nd day with SpikeyShark16 at 38 lbs. on Bio300T, alternating with two control rackets, same racket with Ice17 at 51, and 4DAero300 with STBite16 at 47.
Seems the SpikyShark finally lost some tension, closer to what I wanted, but still a little stiffer than needed. Power is coming back, but that's part of my arm healing a bit so I can actually swing 3/4 speed.
Easy power is almost all there, but a drop in tension of maybe 7 or so would make easy power more apparent.
Max power is harder to tell, since I still couldn't swing full speed, but some moderate swing flat serves did bounce the usual 28" or so up the backwall on wide forehand duece court flat serves.
I suspect, as tension get's reduced under 30, that maximum power levels off or drops a little, while easy power increases with slower swings. Am I wrong?
I"m looking for the balance of the two, of course, like everyone else.
Of course, 38 lbs tension is easy on the arm.

Tourna BHB7 is powerful and easy on the arm and very spin-friendly.

If you already have TE, there is no such thing as a poly that is easy on your arm. If you have recovered/healed, then the strings mentioned might delay it for a bit, but it will still return eventually.
