Rafa and Bartoli
Omg Bartoli is absolutely unwatchable.
Rafa and Bartoli
If I had my choice between Petko's "shuffle" and J.W. Tsonga's macho pointing to himself, I'd choose Petko!
Isner would be my pick too. Watching him move around the court, his soft expression ... something about it makes me seeeethe inside! :lol:Sorry Isner fans.. He gets my vote. It's like watching a male version of davenport. Lol!
But coming from a closet Nadal stan it's not surprisingFederer. He won everything and its mother a million times already and yet he continues to win on tour, beating up on all my faves in the process.
He's also arrogant as **** and a whiny little ***** when he does lose, every once in a blue moon.
To quote Bon Qui Qui: "That dude needs to go. NEEDS. TO. GO."
And before all the Fed worshippers jump on my case, let me just say that I do NOT find his game "beautiful" (beauty is in the eye of the beholder, after all) and that this is just my OPINION. Read my signature peeps!!!!
Coming from a DelPotro fan this is surprising...
But coming from a closet Nadal stan it's not surprising (there are many ways of being critical of Fed but that pretend-pony-**** outs himself when he claims that Fed's game is coarse/ugly/etc - that's a quintessential hardcore ********* trait)
.
Well,Djesus abuses Nadal's backhand to the hilt as well. Why is that just dandy while it's a crime against humanity if Nadal does the same thing to Fed?
I think you're my favorite Fed fan on this board, I love Mirka too
I like it when players respect each other, but I think Juan "bows down" to Federer too much these days. He almost acts pleased just to share the court with Federer. That's not going to get it done against Federer. I prefer Djoker, who respects Federer (let's not talk about Djoker's family, we all have crazies in our families!!), but he doesn't "bow down" to Federer anymore, and it shows in his matches against Fed since USO 2010-present. I hope DP emulates Djoker a little more in that respect, especially when going up against Fed.
And I love Rafa too, especially from 2004-2007 when he was the ONLY one who "took it" to Fed consistently. I don't particularly agree with you that his "method" of abusing Fed's BH with topspin is any less worthy than JMDP blasting Fed off the court with legendary serves and FH's, but again, I respect your right to your own opinion
So nice to see another Indian who's respectful on this board, BTW!!
Strong words.
Anyway, to answer your question -
1) On the premise that both BHs get abused equally(for argument's sake), Nadal's two hander in comparison with Fed's single hander has a smaller chance of breaking down(especially on a slow court like clay/slow HC) because a two hander is generally more solid compared to a single hander with a few exceptions such as Kuerten(one of the greatest clay courters ever) and Gasquet.
2) Fed's BH gets abused by a FH with the most topspin/RPM ever recorded in history(Nadal) while Nadal's BH gets abused by a FH with a much lesser topspin/RPM(Djokovic).
- Another thing to note(maybe not important) is that Nadal always lead the H2H against Djokovic(at one point it was 14-4 ,16-7 before 2011,16-14 currently) while Fed NEVER lead the H2H against Nadal given that their first encounter wasn't even clay(Miami 2004). Generally, extreme matchup issues are on display very early between two players like Fed against Nadal in Miami 04. I don't think it's reasonable to say that Fed had a mental block against Nadal in their very first match in Miami. Not to mention, Fed was in his prime while Nadal was a virtual unknown in 2004.
That's nice of you to say, where you from?
Backhand abuse is backhand abuse. There's no difference in Nadal hitting to Fed's weaker shot and Djesus hitting to Nadal's weaker shot. They are both taking advantage of a weakness in the other player.
Besides,Fed's backhand has actually improved, and imo,is not the glaring weakness it once was. With Nadal's bh having gone to the dogs so badly,I would actually say that Fed's backhand is less of a liability than Nadal's right now.
Hey man, I'm an Indian-American (born and brought up) but my immediate family's roots are in South India. What about you? I'm picturing you from North India for some reason...
Srs bsns this TT.
I'm from Goa but living in Bangalore. Nice to meet you.
Ahh Goa...some day I will Go-a there It's really beautiful, isn't it? Even though Bangalore is the "Silicon Valley" of India, I didn't feel very comfortable there the last time I visited India. Of course, that was over 10 years ago, so it's probably changed a lot since then.
Anyway, nice to "meet" you too Considering that I live in CA and it's 11:30PM here, I'll have to say goodbye to you now as well. The time difference btwn U.S. and India is brutal, isn't it? Catch ya later man...keep it classy!
Why does everyone say Stepanek? I'm just curious. The guy's facial expression is a little awkward, but that's it as far as I can see. Why do people not like him?
