Most gracious in defeat

Well, I’m a Federer fan but it’s certainly not him.
I always thought Novak was pretty good at it.
I agree about Novak. As for Tsonga, the problem is that he has become too used to losing. As one former great American Football coach once said "Show me a good loser and I will show you a LOSER" Not sure I agree with that, but that is the mind set of many great champions.

is that a joke ?
i think he acts 'ok' on the court but can be very bitter off court after losing (which sounds a bit fake in my book).

when he lost to gasquet in sydney, he said it wasn't an issue because he didn't really want to win that match, only to 'try some tactics'
how disrespectful of your opponent (who just beat you!) is that ?! (he was 0-3 against gasquet at that point !)

not to mention to whole 'untalented lopez' beef...

he also has a nadalesque tendency to often use injuries as an excuse......
Well, of course when you already have a bias against Simon, the exceptions are going to have a strong impact. Though I hadn't really taken off court interviews into account enough, was merely going with what I thought would be main theme of this thread, which was immediately after MP and at the handshake. We just witnessed Simon lose to 'untalented' Lopez in a final set TB in a championship match, only to be gracious in defeat at both net and in the following speech.

I think you'd be hard pressed finding a player who hasn't sounded salty after a loss. I haven't seen the Gasquet interview, but I'm not going to take a random articles word for it. Could have easily been sarcasm/joke taking out of context (especially towards a friend), Simon has always been like this.

if you're talking about the few between MP and handshake... then ok, he doesn't act salty ;)

Who else acts goofy at the awards ceremony after losing like he did in 2010 US open when he pretended to try and steal Nadal’s winners cheque.
Actually Agassi did that same thing when he lost the USO to Pete in 2002 and Roddick tried to “steal” Fed’s Wimbledon trophy in 2009. Novak wasn’t doing anything others haven’t done in the past.

Having the best backhand of all time is kinda disrespectful, no!!?

Uncle, I gonna moonball everyone to BH side, best way to win no!!?
Yes nephew, go moonball everyone to death... You win all time no!!

(2011 happens)

Uncle, its ombelleble no!! Jokerbot not breaking down at BH wing.. I'm retiring no!!

People will say Djokovic which could be a possibility but there's probably a 1000 ranked player or so that none of us have seen and is probably the right answer

A bad winner as well (sometimes)
I agree, I think the shirt-ripping-off gorilla moments from Djokovic are seriously cringe worthy and disrespectful, but that wasn't the question. ;) For me, this is desperately awful and titanically embarrassing, but it seems lots of people like it.
