Multi or hybrid with APD

I am using a Babolat Aeroprodrive Gt which I like in order to hit with my topspin generating stroke. I have used copoly in full bed and a hybrid of soft copoly main and gut cross.

As I said I hit with heavy, aggresive topspin. I am searching for a string setup that softens the string bed a bit more tan a copoly full setup or a poly main. gut cross setup. At the same time, I would not like a power string setup that rocket launches the ball.

I still havent tried gut mains, poly crosses or multi in a full bed.
Suggestions please?:)

If you use gut or multi in the main with copoly in the cross, that would definitely soften up the string bed. If you are a big hitter, you might end up launching a few though. I use NRG 17/Genesis Hexonic and really like the feel of it. I have the original APD without cortex which is softer than gt version. Might want to try it and see if it's controllable for you?

I couldn't control the ball very well with Pro Hurricane Tour at 62 lbs. I would hit long very often with RPM Blast @59 and had trouble controlling flat shots. I switched to Pro Hurricane Feel @59 (blue) and it gave me everything I needed. My serves were still in the high 120's and I had all the control I needed.
