My BLX Tour 90 Review

Here's a little backround:
username- federernadal13
age-14
1hbh, western grip forehand
racket of choice- Blx 90, before K90
I played for 3 hours against the rafael nadal of our club, he just gets to everything...
Here's the review:

Groundstrokes- 9/10
I loved the groundstrokes with this racket. I hit forehand winner after forhand winner, backhand winner after forehand winner. This racket was a lot like the k90, but with a lot more power, and of course, wilson's control.

Slice- 10/10
The bite I got from the slice was insane. My backhand slice kept killing my opponent, and dropshots were sick. I was extremely impressed!

Topspin- 7/10
The topspin was alright, nothing likie the slice... i got some good shots, but some awful shots also. It was O.K.

Flat- 10/10
The flat was better than the slice! Every shot I hit was a winner, and I hit a lot of flat shots. The flat backhand down the line was fantastic, and the forehand was also awesome.

Serves- 10/10
This racket was made to serve. With my K90, I could serve alright, but with the Blx, I got free points all the time. I hit ace after ace. It didn't matter what type of serve I hit, they all worked fantasticly.

Volleys- 10/10
This racket had perfect volleys! I am not a volleyer by any means, but I found myself going to the net for everything. No matter where I aimed, the volley was perfect.

Serve Return- 8/10
This racket was also good at returning serves. I hit a lot of great return winners, and I got most of my opponents serves back. Anyway, it was not the best, but it was good enough for me.

Special Shots- 8/10
Whether it was a drop shot, a topspin lob, a slice lob, a half volley, they all worked! I loved trying different shots, and they all worked to perfection.

Overall- 9/10:twisted:
Wilson really did it this time! This racket was all that it was cracked up to be. It was a joy to work with this racket, and it made me play really well. I am glad that I tried this racket, and am glad that wilson made it.:)

Well, if it fits your playing style, go for it! I played with the k90 for 3 years, and I loved it, so if you like it, use it.:)

I don't really know if it fits my style I havnt played for ages since I was 9 I need a adult racket coz me old 1 was a 26 and I am looking to start again

Maybe you should demo it with a few of other rackets. Whatever one you like the best, use that one. If you like none, keep trying until you get it right.

Well, if you like it, use it! I can't tell you what to do, and if you decided that your getting the blx, then get the Blx. I was just trying to help...

If you haven't played since you were 9 and your a 2.0 level player then the BLX tour 90 would be too demanding for you. This racquet is recommended more for players who are near the 5.0 level. You should start out with an easier racquet and as you progress experiment with smaller headsize, heavier racquets.

remember though, quest01, if your playing style is suited to this racket, then wouldn't it be good to use it? I'm 14 and I use the Blx tour 90

Yea, but if this kid has never played with an adult racket, and is switching from a 26, he should use something more forgiving. Like the 6.1 lite, or the K Factor KPro Open, something lite and whippy

Do you have to post the same garbage in every racquet thread? Just because you don;t like the racquet doesn't mean the rest of us don't ok?

kick serve, you might be right. Adam 13, have you ever hit with a heavy raquet? I still think that you should demo it first.

Exactly, if he hasn't played in a long time, then he souldn't use the most demanding fram out there, regardless of the brand. I used to adore Prince, then the LM Instinct came out, I tried it, and I've used Head ever since.
On another note, I hit the K90 and BLX 90 side by side, and I found both frames to be very similar in terms of overall stability, but the K90 was a bit more flexy and forgiving...

That isn't what they're is saying, they're making a valid argument. This stubborn kid, on the other hand, won't listen.

All I'm saying is he should demo it, especially because he hasn't played in a while. Ans if he likes it, he should use it. That's all I have to say. I love the racket!

quest is the expert on who should play with the 88, and now the BLX.

His insights are golden.

FEDERERNADAL13 and adam13, I know that you guys are 14 and 13 years old, respectively, but could you please type in correct grammatical english?

You're making me fear for the degradation of linguistics and a subsequent deterioration of thought.

It makes me fear for the future. The movie 'Idiocracy' is logarithmically coming true with each passing minute. I admire Mike Judge's work, but I would hate for the fate of humanity to have been so eloquently and prophetically depicted in that nugget of cinematography.

I really didn't mean to offend. Sorry if I put you on the spot.

I just have visions of archeologists looking back at our communications scratching their heads as what might be construed as an abrupt change in language usage....

We've reached the apex of human cognitive progression. Unfortunately we are in the rapid process of devolution and have been for quite some time.

Hopefully that break in the fourth inter-glacial ice age will arrive before our nadir.

Ha, nicely put VGP, but, fear not, I am only 16, and I am able to speak using proper english. As for the movie, it's a favorite of mine...

My favorite brand is HEAD, and I like the MG Prestige Mid, but I don't use it because I don't think I can get everything out of it. So I use the MG Extreme MP, because I feel as though it's better suited to my level. It is supposedly suited to a 4.0+ player, I'm rated 4.5, far better than you, but I still don't feel comfortable with it. Don't jump the gun, get something suited to your level, advance in skill, and then, try out the BLX 90...

I am definitely picking up 1 or 2 of these BLX 90s, that's for sure. If a 14 year-old can use this thing, I should be able to as well.

In my experience, however limited it may be, I found the PB 10 Mid, to be more demanding than the K90 or the BLX 90.

Don't think that age is a factor with a racket. Sure, maybe 10 is too early to use a certain racket, but if you are good with the racket, and it suites your playing style, then you can use it! How many times do I have to say that before people start getting it? It's just common sence...

Not really, you might think you're good with it, but I bet I could smoke you with my Extreme, which is much more of a 'tweener stick than the K90. You might play well with one stick, but I bet I could name 5 that you would play better with...

Kick serve, if you're older than me, you probably can beat me, but when i'm at your age, I bet I'd win. And if you're my age, I think we'd have a good match!:)

If you're at my age, you'd be trying to return slice serves that bend like MLB sliders, and kick serves that guys 6'3" have a hard time returning, not to mention my 100+ mph flat serve, and my spinny groundies. You can try, but you won't win...

Another snappy comment. I bet we would have a great match, but I bet you would be the one crying! Seriously though, if you are as good as you say you are, you will probably beat me, but you never know.

Okay I will but the spelling mistakes are because I am using my iPod and keep hitting the wrong buttons

I doubt I'll be going to Toledo any time soon... Guess we'll never know how the match would turn out! Too bad, though, it would be fun to take you down.
