Both of you could use your non-racquet arm more.

Really good progress, you are smart hitting with higher level players. Try to mimic your friends calmness and "foundation" when hitting, which means continue to work on your footwork to get to the ball early enough to set up. One thing I see to work on next is loosening up your really stiff wrist. Try to "lay back" and relax your wrist and hit out front of your body. This is important to get more power and control, but more importantly to protect your forearm from injury as you start hitting harder. Here is a video that shows the layback position: http://youtube.com/watch?v=J74XpkGKyuc

thank you, this is a great advice, and i am aware of it,it and working on that,to catch the ball more in front of me,and not be so "tight" with the swing. it was much worse actually 2-3 months ago,but still lot of work to fix that.
thank you.

You look like you struggle with perceiving the characteristics of the incoming ball (you seem glued to the baseline at times when you could move mainly back). As posted earlier I would work on reading the incoming ball and getting into a comfortable position to make consistent contact.

Personally I see the follow-through as a function of the swing path rather than the other way round. Therefore i wouldnt try to make my elbow cover my nose on every shot especially with some of your contact points.

Lefty is solid 4.0-4.5, but he's barely trying, so no way to know exactly what his true level is.
He can be 5.0, but his strokes are short and mechanical.
