borrowed this from another poster who wants to see blake bury nadal.....

but if blake wins tonight (feature late match), that blake-nadal match in next round will be huge.

blake will be riding massive fan backing if he wins tonight... and nadal's excessive celebrating last night has made him no friends

i understand that mac who was defending nadal earlier in the match finally turned on him later; same opinion as mine, i like some spunk from the players but that got ridiculous later on. someone from nadal's camp should settle him down a little.

tom-selleck (fine actor btw, liked him in all his works) is right and he was quoting my from the last thread that dealt with the Scoville-Rafa match from last night.

I believe Blake will win tonight and the crowd will be with him all the way (local boy). I can't wait to see him up against Nadal next round, it will be a HUGE match as Tom said and I'll be looking for it to be a night match again.

Glad to see that someone else picked up on the fact that Jmac was all for showing emotion and spunk on the court with celebrations but later on in the match (as Nadal started celebrating Jenkins' errors) said that it wasn't cool to be acting like that when your opponent is making UE. I agree that someone should calm this kid down from his camp before he gets b*tch slapped by an opponent, and I don't mean in their match. Actually, he should continue to do these childish antics, it will only fuel upcoming opponents to want to bury him and put him in his place.

I must say this here that Nadal is quite beatable on hardcourts and it won't even take some radical strategy to accomplish this. Just like Berdych beat him in Cincy, he was just going for his shots and looking to take control of every point and not try and drag on a rally. Be agressive and come to net to finish him off. Berdych did this cause he has excellent shots and is quite comfortable at net. Blake can do the same and Agassi can also beat him, provided he works on his volleys just a bit and gets used to coming to net on Nadal's short balls.

agassi4ever, i did borrow from your thoughts, so thank you!!! and i agreed with your final assessment (LOL!!!) although i thought it was a little too spiteful.

but if blake plays nadal, i think the NYC crowd will be all over rafael's A$s which will make for compelling TV (and we all know that's the most important thing)

I hope it goes down too...luckily it will be over the weekend so I will not miss it if it is played during the day.

tom you're right, it will make for very compelling TV and that is what we want to see. I also agree that I was a tad spiteful in my last assessment but I couldn't help myself, my blood was boiling last night watching what he was doing on the court. Somebody's gotta eliminate this kid so my blood pressure can return back to normal.

Seeing that Blake is a better player than Scoville, he will give Nadal a run for his money the way he is playing (the lack thereof).
