Nadal had his chance to win at least 2 of every Slam, now it's Joe's turn at RG

Nadal and his "improved serve" (went walkabout apparently) could've laid claim to the GOAT if he had've won AO and claimed the mantle of at least 2 Slams at each venue, although he has the glaring omission of having never defended a non-RG Slam.

Now Joe stares down the barrel of GOAT-hood in Paris. 7 matches away from a NCYGS and at least 2 Slams across the spread of 4. The total GS count will mean very little if Joe can once again hold all slams at once and have the distinction of having won them all at least twice in his career. At 16 Slams in total he'll be anointed into the Hall of GOAT-ism.

The race for who complete the double CGS has been ongoing ever since Nadal won the 2010 USO, and it became even more interesting since Djokovic won the FO. Imagine a FO final between Fed and Djkovic this year? History will be made regardless of the winner.

I can imagine but I just don't see Fed getting to a GS final, let alone in Paris.
