Rafa practiced with Coleman Wong for 3 hours today.
Wong is a 2-time GS boys’ doubles champion (USO 2021 & AO 2022). He is 18 years old (born in 2004) and represents Hong Kong at the Davis Cup. He has trained at Rafa's academy since November 2021.

If he knew when the baby would be born, Mery was either induced or had an elective C section. The fact that he has been seen practising and is all smiles is a good sign but I can’t help but want to hear him say all is well lol.

I've come to the conclusion that when Rafa says he wants his private life private he means it. Other players don't announce when they've had a baby so maybe we shouldn't expect Rafa to but he is not any other player. However, just an IG message would have been nice knowing his fans would love to hear it from him. But it is what it is. He is mindful that Mery doesn't want too much exposure, she just wants a quiet life. Once you start buying into the celebrity culture, your life is not your own.

It is easy to feel "betrayed" as a fan, but he doesn't owe us anything, he's earned our support and we (at least myself) give it freely.

Being famous must be a nightmare.

I watched Alexandra Burke on Loose Women the other day and she was overcome with tears talking about how her fame has intruded into the lives of her family who didn't ask for it. She is very sad about that to the extent that she is keeping the sex and name of her new born baby private to allow it to grow up without the exposure that some like the Beckhams crave.

The academy is part of the sports centre

For a second year in a row, Rafa's sports centre/academy will host a tournament of the Solidarity Padel Circuit of the Real Madrid Foundation. It will take place this weekend.

The 3rd edition of the Solidarity Padel Circuit consists of eight tournaments held across Spain from June – October 2022. The tournament taking place at Rafa's sports centre from 14-16 October is the last tournament of the 3rd edition of the circuit.

The profits from the 3rd Solidarity Padel Circuit will go to the Real Madrid Foundation’s social projects.

Rafa’s sports centre uses 15 indoor and outdoor padel courts, part of which are rented from other organizations.

Rafa is an ardent Real Madrid supporter and an honorary member of the football club.
