Yeah, he's had no game. Hasn't lost a set yet and he's made the semis of a Masters. Pretty shabby.
Rafa played better against Khachanov. At least most of the match.

But before his level was somewhere around Djokovic’s when he lost to Kohl.

There are some posters on TTW claiming that Nadal is OK and that he just fakes this injury. Maybe they have some inside information?
Inside information on why would Rafa fake serving 11mph slower? Funny :)

Do you think that anyone would claim something like that without having reliable information? You don't have faith in human nature.
well i've got a brain, unlike anyone who believes that Rafa's slow serving was an act :)
i bet another dumb human nature source says all Rafa's hardcourt injuries in 2018 were an act.....

They likely arent an act but there is a reason for people to think that way, dont you think? He had some pretty shady history with MTO's till AO 14 final which escalated in booes from arguably the greatest crowd out there.

For those who were doubtful about Miami, it is now clear. He will now next play on clay which means Miami is out. Right decision IMHO. Some rest and rehab will do the knee well. He has the whole clay season ahead to think of.

"What I gonna do is come back home and try to do a smooth transition to clay. Try to be 100% for the first event. That gonna be Monte-Carlo for me".

Get well soon Rafa! Vamos and see you on clay.

I don't believe he has had any shady history with regard to MTO's. If you were so inclined any player could be called out for taking dubious MTO's and that includes Federer. If you were able to play a few tournaments in Nadal's shoes then maybe you could make that judgement, but since that is unlikely no one can make that call. Only the player knows how much he is hurting.

As for the boos from the AO crowd , that was encouraged and escalated by Wawrinka having a temper tantrum and throwing his toys out if the pramThe crowd soon realised that they had been wrong and that Nadal was in fact injured.

It sucks. I had tickets and thought the first time I'd see Nadal was against Fed in a SF. Oh well life doesn't always work the way we want. It would have been great to see him play but frankly if he wasn't 100% then the decision is totally understandable. I wanted to see him win Miami but it seems like that one isn't meant to be.

All in all still good day. Crushed the casino at baccarat and the Vols won. Hopefully the final will be entertaining but I suspect Roger is going to process Thiem.

No, we couldn't care less about an easy walkover win. It's destroying Nadal and continuing the narrative that Fed has his number now late in his career that we care about and this would have been the perfect opportunity to do so. Nadal just had to weasel his way out.

So when Nadal was up 23-10, H2H didn't matter, now all of a sudden that Federer is beating Nadal and starting to errode the deficit, Fed fans now care about it?

The boos were by Fedfans especially the Swiss. The Swiss are very boisterous when Fedr is playing. I sat next to them at the O2 once. They are very noisy. And Stan is Swiss.

was the right decisson not to play....but its very sad of course.

it seems that his health gehts bader by any day. i mean the matches he played were not so intense and he don´t need to defence as hard as we know it.

i don´t think that he will be ready for clay....and fur sure not that planed schedule...

Daria Kasatkina gives a great interview at @TennisChannel. She just oozes personality and honestly, if it was a three-hour interview, I wouldn't have minded. Says she loves conditions in Miami -- finally starting to put things together in 2019?

Kasatkina says she was impressed by Gauff's serve, and says the American will be lethal when she starts adding more angles and hitting spots better. Kasatkina broke 6x today.

[on dealing with facing a 15-year-old] "As my favorite player Rafael Nadal, who respects all the opponents... doesn't matter who he is playing against, he is playing the same tennis, he has the same attitude, I'm trying to do the same."

Speaking of Xisca's reaction, a journalist asked Rafa a question about appearing in Shakira's music video (2010): "How did you show the video to your girlfriend, because it's a pretty sexy video..."
Rafa replied: "No problem. That's part of the job." From 1:49 - 2:10:

The interview was filmed 6 years ago at the Secrets Aura Cozumel in Mexico, a beach resort Rafa partially owns.

If you watch your video more closely, you'd notice she was not wearing bikinis all the time

Hmm. I watched another video. You are correct. She looks much more attractive in black bikinis than in Nike's underwear, that's probably the reason I haven't paid attention to the Nike thing:

Rafa & Palladium Magazine

Rafa is on the cover of the latest issue of Palladium Magazine, a lifestyle magazine published by Palladium Hotel Group, a Spanish hotel chain. The hotel company is the owner of the two new resorts, located adjacent to each other, on Costa Mujeres beach, Mexico, where the new Rafa Nadal Tennis Centre is situated.

The magazine publisher has used a picture from a Richard Mille photo shoot on the magazine's cover. Here is another picture from the RM photo shoot in 2015:
