Need a Good Cross for Silverstring Mains

I'm going to order some WeissCannon Silverstring pretty soon. However, I'm not sure I want to use a full bed, so I'm looking for a good cross for it. I was thinking of some Yonex 850 because that's my usual string, but since it's a multi I'm afraid the Silverstring might chew through it. Is it ok to use a multi like that or should I just use some kind fo solid cored synthetic gut like Forten Sweet?

Yes synthetic gut is better. Forten Sweet is a good choice. Pro Supex Spiral Flex and Titan are great strings as well. Very popular and cheap.

I tried using some Gosen OG Sheep Micro as a cross for Silverstring and it worked well. I liked the feel a lot.

So, what's the verdict on using a multi as a cross with the silverstring? I'd rather stick with the Yonex 850 as long as the silverstring won't saw through it too fast.

hey, i have a hybrid setup with silversting right now. i usually use a full setup but i wanted to try it hybrid. i am using a cheap hybrid, babolat super fine play 1.30. so far pretty good. has great pop and the playability is nice. i would say any heap multi/ syn. gut would be great like psg.
