Need more spin on my HyperCarbon 6.1 18x20 racquet

Hi,
Well, I read lots of reviews about WIlson HyperCarbon 6.1, I liked fact that it is 16x19 etc. I ordered from a club, racquets arrived and thanks to fact Im from Europe I received 18x20 because Wilson makes 18x20 for us Europeans (soooo cool, tnx Wilson). So instead of 2 racquets 16x19 now I got 2 rac. 18x20. Im not a tennis rookie, I was training a lot before but somehow I got a feeling that Im missing something. When I hold my old Wilson pro something racquet (14 years old) I can beat anyone with my spin. Of course I dont have same potential with my new 18x20 and I got problem with that because ball somehow dont stick to stings.
Im also using lead tape, 3 grams at 10.5 o'clock, and 3 grams at 1.5 o'clock and that helps a lot with serve since Im 1.90 cm and know how to serve. I tried Prince syn. gut 17, prince 16 top spin but all the same story. Im stringing 25 kilos main , 24 cross.
So I need advices before I try to sell those 2 beauties, can someone suggest strings I should try. Should I try poliester? should I try something 18 gauge thin? Should I lose tension, increase tension? What to try please help because Im tired of switching to old racuqed when things got wrong at court.
Thank you.....

I use the HPS 6.1 stretch and it is an 18x20. I never found any problems generating spin. I do use Lux ALU at 55lbs. on it. My doubles partner uses the regular 6.1 with the 16x19 pattern. I have hit with it and there is not really any difference. I am not sure how much the string pattern really does to spin. You may just want to drop the tension down a little with that string pattern. Your strings will last a little longer.

i can get more spin out of my old 18x20 c8 pros then i can my 16x19 tour10mp's. it's about the technique mostly, but also about being able to generate racquethead speed way more than being about strings or string densities or string patterns or string tension...thats really really fine tuning stuff. my .02. ed

That is so true!!! You can have a racquet with specs for spinning, but if you don't have the proper fundamental strokes that racquet is worthless. People seem too quick on fixing their equipment rather than fixing their techniques.

Well You are half-way right. It is true no technique no nothing wise but as I said I know technique but sometimes Im lacking spin, especialy when try to hit backhand in some situations, like string wont bite the ball. Well I will try some thinner string hybrid combo. Thank you for your answers and opinions.

Aside from technique, I think you should try some polyester. Luxilon ALU adds more bite to my shots than regular syn guts (your prince synthetics) or textured strings do ( such as Prince Topspin). Try a gut/alu hybrid or all ALU and work from there.

like mojo, i've been able to get more spin on racquets like the mw200g and prestige tour more than other racquets w/ open spin patterns. it's mostly about racquet head speed and angle of impact. who knows if you'd be able to get more spin if you had the more open patterned hps 6.1 instead of your 18x20 one. just get used to the racquet, and brush up more on your shots.

maybe try forten thin blend (aramid/kevlar w/ syn gut hybrid) for some nice bite, or ashaway kevlar bites well also. gut/lux hybrid is also nice. if you want full poly, maybe try bb ace, or timo.
