New Balance 2E to 4E, keep the same size or go 1/2 size smaller

If you where a 9.5 2E and went to a 4E would you go down a half size? I have enough space. I wore a 10 in Nikes, a NB 10 2E felt like a boat so I had to go a half size smaller.
