New Balance 996 (more colors or v5 please!!)

The NB996v4 are my favorite court shoes I’ve ever worn. I use the 2E because my foot is just A little wide and have been playing on a dream ever since switching.

Website has had dwindling supplies forevvvvver of just the ugly white color way.

any ideas on release cycle for their next version?

anyone else a big fan that has found a good alternative?

I’m a 996v4 convert. Great shoe.

I was searching for new models and found an online retailer in Spain that I’ve never heard of selling this 996v4.5 colourway

not sure if is a preview of what’s to come in the US or just a special build for the Spanish market. It’s not subtle but I don’t hate it. Definitely not your standard white NB dad- shoe to wear with jorts and tube socks.

I think this is the best color way I’ve seen. Love it.

4.5 just went to a more eco friendly Dope Dye coloring process for the upper. Otherwise, same shoe

I think they are in the same spot as a lot of companies. Asics for instance... hasnt delivered a new shoe in a long time but put the colors out online 5 months before you could buy them. New Balance will put them out when they can ship them I would guess.

I was forced to find something. Ended up with the Solecourt boost in the new black / teal color way. Not my favorite looking shoe but damn they’re stable and I feel real confident in them. They fee heavier but doesn’t seem to slow me down.
Very comfy!

Hope they release a clay court version, I had the blue pair from 2019 or 2020 and liked them. Colorway was kind of boring though
The v4.5 looks good, the upper looks slightly improved, less fabric more like a stiffer mesh?

If you're talking about the V3 version 2019/20, the v4/4.5's have a similar upper. The biggest difference is that the V3's have a chunky rubber toe cap. V4's feel more svelte. If you liked the v3, you'll like the v4.

Wild colors. A nice simple burgundy, navy, or burgundy/navy would have been cool too. They have gone off the deep end with wild colors. The V5 hopefully will tone it down a bit

I'm digging the W's orange/pink ones. Anybody know if the W's Wide (D) is the same last as the Men's Narrow (D) if I go up 1.5 sizes? Asking for a friend....

When you first enter the particular shoe (say 996v4) you need to go down and select the 2E width (Under the list of sizes) as the default is the standard width.

The selection button is beneath the size matrix on lower right and then you will see a majority of the sizes dithered out and un-selectable (i.e. unavailable).
