Too bad Donnay is getting caught up in the same nonsense as every other racquet manufacturer: coming out with too many new racquets too soon and not supporting their old ones.

"Let's introduce a new frame with 'new technology' every 6 months and obsolete the old ones."

Yeah, that'll make your customers happy.

I agree, it's al going a little too fast here...

Hi Suppawat, and thanks for your info. and some great pictures. You know what? Isn't it funny that i went to Donnay's website and found out the X-dual Pro racquets are........................ out of stock? Do you happen to know what that means? Thanks.

It was available once, wasn't it? I remember someone in this forum bought it directly from the website. Let my friend check with Donnay to confirm about timeline again. Please stay tuned. Those Donnay X-Dual Pro racquets, strings, and other accessories in the picture were sent to support Thailand Open 2011 in a very limited quantity.

Slightly off topic, but is that is a great photo - the colors just leap off the screen!

I didn't realise they did Hexablade in electric blue - my one is like a duller greenish aqua blue??

The white balance of this picture was a bit off towards blue. The Hexablade is actually in dull blue. If you like the electric blue color, try Solinco Revolution.

Wow, that's fast. Thank youSuppawat. I've never hit with a Donnay racquet before, so please help me with this racquet. I really like its paintjob and specs. Can you tell the Donnay's grip shape? Is it like Dunlop shape or Head shape? The specs shows stiffness is 64, and you wrote that it has soft solid feel, how could a stiffness of 64 have "soft" solid feel? Also hitting with this X-dual Pro, what's the closest to other racquets that you can tell? like Head Prestige MP, Wilson BLX Blade, Babolat Pure Storm GT (Tour)...? Thank you very much for your sharing.

Compared to other 64RDC racquets like Dunlop 300 Tour or Head Prestige MP, the Dual Pro plays softer in my opinion. The grip shape is something between Wilson and Head, but more towards Wilson.

In stock form, the Dual Pro is good for all-court players who hit the ball rather flat. It's fast and light like Dunlop 300 Tour, Wilson KBlade 98, Head Radical MP but has more soft/solid/stable feel like pro stock frames. Most importantly, it has a nice cushion feel on hard hitting. No jarring. However, the racquet is not for baseliners in stock form. Lead tape and +10g butt cap may help.

I am trying another string set-up, which is Solinco test string at 53 lbs. This is not a retail string, Solinco just made a special run for Thailand Open. It's a square shaped string that has very sharp edge to generate extra spin even at lower racquet head speed. I will see if it helps on spin and power.

Thank you so much, Suppawat. Have you noticed that TW carries quite numbers of Donnay racquets, and each costs around 200 bucks, and how could the Donnay USA has it for 299? Wouldn't it be a little expensive for a racquet now a day? Is there any other way to buy it at a regular price like buying here in TW?

Pricing on Donnay website is MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price), but the pricing on TW is MAP (Minimum Advertised Price). Normally, the MSRP is higher. You can call Donnay to check where you can get the racquet at lower price - MAP.

Welcome sir! You can also join our Friday midnight tennis. We are is a group of crazy people who love playing tennis from 9pm of Friday night to 6am Saturday morning.

My friend also have a lot of Donnay prototype racquets and you can try all day (and all night). Below are some examples of X-Dual Pro prototypes in different stiffnesses. I saw at least 3 prototypes before Donnay make it for retail.

Trust me, your feedback is counted :) I am sure Donnay is working on it. They are trying to make more of 16x19 and 18x19 string patterns.

This is one of them - JHT012 (104 sq.in, 18x19, 310g, 24mm).

Jeeeeez..... I wish Wilson had been spying on Donnay for color-ideas for the new 90/95/100 box beams. This is one of the nicest looking frame color schemes I've seen in a long time. Wilson's people seem to have spent a bit too much time on Santa Claus Lane....
