Just got a sneak peek at the new Dunlops today. That's why the Bio line has been discounted. the new line is coming in October! Brand new classification. also new technology. for me the best part was the new paintjobs. very sleek and sharp. somewhat copying from wilson in the color scheme though. also a new poly string called Ice.

Wow you're late... details regarding technology etc. are here:

BioFibre - Stronger than steel and lighter than Carbon, Dunlop has extracted the stem fibres from plants and woven them into the shaft of the racket. On impact this natural fibrous structure actively filters shockwaves by 18% to provide a cleaner more solid hit.

AEROSKIN CX - Inspired by the textured skin of sharks and engineered in a wind tunnel, Aeroskin Cx smooth's turbulent air, reducing drag by up to 36% providing greater racket head speed.

MoS2 Grommets - Inspired by the wear resistant self lubricating properties of snake skin, MoS2 is a revolutionary new polymer featuring a microscopic lubricant. This increases grommet durability by 40% and reduces string friction by 27% , delivering more string movement for enhanced power & spin.

New rounder headshape.
New pentagonal shaft design and Wave Grommet System on the 5.0 models.
New frame geometry (oval crosssection at the head and box crosssection in the shaft) and Pocket Grommets on the 3.0.

So is the Biofibre bast, as used in the Vantage Bastcores? And, I'm assuming that MoS2 is molybdenum disulfide (chemical nomenclature is MoS2), which is a solid lubricant, often added to plastics for strength and reduced friction. Nice stuff, but hardly a revolutionary new polymer.

will this line be any good ? last 2 line of rackets were really poor. biomemetics with its tiny sweet spots were annoying as heck

Shark skin, snake lubricant, plant fibres....perhaps you've noticed that manufacturers of all kinds of products are trying to cash in on "green" concerns, hawking natural ingredients to try to suggest that you're doing the planet a favor if your racquet has hemp in it rather than something extracted from a pit. (Personally, I never thought deforestation benefitted the ecology more than mining.) So, caveat emptor on this new approach to marketing.

You're just used to your Babolat. The Biomimetic 200 was the closest feeling racquet to the MW 200g that I can find.

they look even better in person.

cool, i'm probably not going to try out the 300, perhaps the 100, but does paint job more closely resemble this photo:

when i initially saw the first photo, i really liked the matte/washed-out look of the paint and how the red wasn't super-rich.

Any idea where the current gen of biomimetics will come in at price when these drop in the fall? I was about to pick up a couple aerogel 4d 300 tours, but I could hold off because really I'd love to get my hands on the BM 300 tour or 400 tour (don't see the 400tour price dropping though cause its still new) an

In my country, price of all Dunlop Bios already significantly dropped. Only exception is bio 400 and 400T.

Seems like just yesterday the Bio line was introduced. I used 4 generations of 200s, but the Bio line didn't click for me, even though I thought they were quality frames.

Really interested to see what they come up with this time.

Can I ask, why It didnt click for you? I bought 2 Bio 200s lately and they swing so sweet.

Just tried out the M3.0...The rep is a friend and he told me to get ready for power...He was right. This is the easiest power on a thinner beamed frame I've ever had. I was worried about the 22mm beam, but it plays smooth. Might have to raise my tension a bit, but this thing pounds the ball. Spin was awesome too.

I really like the heavier weight of this new M3.0 over the Bio 300. I always found the 300 a little underpowered and easy to push around. New frame shape is very cool as well.

The most interesting thing is that it still has that softer/solid feel that I've always liked about Dunlop.

The rep says they come out Oct 15...Looking forward to trying further, but this is a great improvement for Dunlop for sure...

Does anyone know if they are going to continue the Bio Max 200G?
Love this frame and I feel like it just came out!

Thanks

Original Bio came out in Nov. 2010...hard to believe it will have been 2 years when these new ones come out.

Rep buddy says the Max 200G is not going anywhere since it just came out earlier this year. Plus, Mac likes to stick with a racquet for quite a while so it might be around for a while :)
