New Idea to Speed Up Tennis

Ok, people on these boards whine endlessly about players like Nadal and Djokovic who take a long time between points. So here's an idea. Shot clock, 15 seconds for a first serve, if you run out of time it's fault, then 10 seconds for second serve or it's double fault, next point. Have a buzzer that goes off when time runs out.

Also no stopping for drinks after 1-0 in a set and 6 points in a tie breaker. Play a game or 6 points, walk around the net, keep playing. Again make it an automatic fault if the players take too long to walk around the net. What do you think?

Thinking about the top one

Bottom one, definitely not.

Won't work, the players have a big say in this and while most won't say it, they have grown accustomed to the slowing down of the game(I'm sure that there are those who disagree) and implementing a shotclock is pretty much impossible in tennis when there are so many variables that could interrupt you(crowd, things flying on court etc.), that's why it's all up to the umps but they won't take measures so we are back to step one.

15 and 10 is not enough time but I agree their needs to be a "shot clock". Can you imagine Djoker trying to rush his serve because he needs to bounce the ball 19 times before serving! It would be like an NFL quarterback trying to rush the count to get the play started before the clock runs down!!!

I actually enjoy watching how player sometimes slow down or speed up the pace depending on the situation. It adds another layer to the game. As for slowing down too much, the umpire can make the decision.
