What's up y'all?! Been following this forum for a little bit, just trying to gather info and knowledge for this great sport. I just got interested in this sport during this years US Open after a falling out with golf LOL. Been taking classes to get me up to speed. Finished a 2.0 class and the instructor advised me I should go onto 3.0 or even 3.5 instruction whatever that means. I am former pro athlete so I'm able to pick up on the technique a lil but I have a long way to go. So on to the point, I'm new, don't know what stick to use so I've been trying different ones out and stumbled onto this as part of my quest to find stick:

If it's not obvious, Im not qualified to give a review.

Where did you get the new Graphene XT Prestige MP?

As I argued many times before, they should've left Prestige line alone, making it a "heritage" brand and selling out at $140 to older folks who can appreciate finer things in life.

Speed and Radical have all the power and spin for new generation. And then you have Extreme if you need some more.

Agree.

IMO, Head should just release a classic line (say "Classic" or "Heritage"), with a Mid, MP and Pro versions, in addition to the new line. This will cater both the old and new generations.

Siiiick PJ. Here's hoping it plays well! My 2c on the old/new prestige idea is that nothing is magic about the word "Prestige"... If you want a flexible frame with a thin beam, there are still companies that make those. Get a Redondo mid or a Textreme 95 new, or a 315LTD, or a PT630 off the auction site. The way the tennis world is going is towards the lighter and stiffer end of the spectrum, and a lot of the advanced players I know are totally good with that.
Some of the most finnicky players I know are the ones who bunt the ball without turning sideways, and wax eloquently about the feel and touch of the old mid frames.

I had an opportunity to demo the new Prestige S tonight. Played 3 sets of dubs with it. I have a couple years' experience with the IG and Graphene Prestige S. I'm 48 y/o, 5'9"/170lbs, low-ish 4.0. I play 4 or 5 times a week (singles and doubles).

The demo stick I played was newly strung with a full bed of Head Velocity MLT 16g at 53lbs. My reference point is that I've been playing with the IG Prestige S with a full bed of RPM Blast at 43-48lbs (shoulder issues) for the past couple of months.

I love the feel of the new Prestige S. It felt flexier and WAY LESS hollow than the Graphene for sure. The feel of ball-striking was more buttery compared to both the IG and Graphene. I don't have any experience with the older Prestige models.

I was a little disappointed that I was spraying the ball a bit tonight. Maybe I just didn't adjust to the multi string job, or made a lot of sloppy strokes (probably). I haven't hit with multi in about a year.

I'm not in the market for new sticks but I'm very interested to buy a couple of these and play some singles with my regular string setup.

Plus, the new paint job is nice. The matte finish is very similar to the Radical Ltd. Ed. It's definitely not flashy - very subtle as compared to the IG and Graphene.
the IG and graphene are compeltey different.....

We got what you meant - the XT is flexier than the IG and Graphene. Good review, we're all chomping at the bit to try these babies :)

I still have 1 x Youtek Prestige MP, 1 x IG Prestige MP, and 2 matched IG Prestige Pro's - all in 10/10 condition, not even a spec on them:) I will keep those for a very long time:) Graphene can kiss my hairy bean bag.:p

After reading the review of the XT Radicals, it sounds like the new Prestiges could be a little worse. All of the XTs with the exception of the Extreme are slightly worse than the plain Graphene.

You guys love taking other people's opinions and making it fact.

I have now tried 2016 Prestige MP, Pro, Rev and S and the one I like the most is surprisingly the S!

Very solid for it´s light weight. More "alive" then the very stiff MP and Pro. The S version is a frame I could easily just pick up and play a match with, even if the weight is a good 15 grams of my normal specs.

Haha! Sorry, it should say "I have NOW tried the 2016 ..." but my phone had other ideas of what it should say...

Du vet när man har Svenska som språk och inte ändrar till engelska. Då blir det lätt fel ibland =)

Figures. Doesn't surprise me in the least

From what I've read in the TW Question Thread, the new XT Prestiges are not an improvement in comparision with the Graphene Prestiges.
Sounds not very promissing..
