Nick Kyrgios

Probably Murray too (the only other guy he actually likes).

Agree. More than any other Non-Australian player, Murray continually went out of his way to help Nick out. I think he sensed that Nick was rapidly ostracizing himself from many players on tour and felt sorry for him.

Kyrgios is just a textbook example of an a**h**e. This tweet is nothing but jealousy of FAA on a day when he's won possibly one of the most memorable wins of his life. Plus a lame attempt to curry favour claiming he was supporting Fed. Nuts.
FAA came for NK one time, in his normal child like manner, saying something like 'I feel if you are a tennis player who gets attention you should act like a role model' or something like that in response to a NK question. That was years ago, but I noticed it, looks like NK did too.

FAA is very innocent kind of guy, he's not a bro so some players just aren't going to warm up to him like that. Even Shapo does not hang with him anymore from what I can tell. Shapo is embracing his bad boy side more, which he certainly has!

That's another reason why I think Toni Nadal can be a good match for FAA, his demeanor is similar to Nadal's his former protégé and nephew.

Too much pressure for him.. I think he'd rather play it safe to hold on to the bragging rights he has already. He doesn't want to lose that like he already has started to with Rafa from the last couple of times they've played.
Maybe, but it would definitely be one of the highest rated most dramatic matches of the year!

The earlier the better for NK. He can rely on his natural talent, which everybody should admit is immense, and his body wouldn't be beat up and the grass would be slicker.

I actually think that if NK believed he had the body type for today's tennis, he would have buckled down and become way more professional and winning multiple slams. But he knows he doesn't have the body for it. He tried really hard a couple of years but still got injured and couldn't last entire tournaments. So then he went the total opposite way and became clownish, and winning a couple of big matches every now and then and talking smack about everyone besides Federer.

I'm curious what you mean by him not having the body type for today's tennis - in my head, he's 6'4ish, appears to be a predominantly fast-twitch type of guy (which most people are born with a certain proportion of fast/slow twitch), can serve 140+ with little knee bend or torso rotation, and has decent wheels - based on how rounded his upper back/neck is, it looks like he suffers from the typical "text neck" and isn't doing enough weight lifting to overcome that poor posture, which is probably leading to his neck issues. Based on his overall physical appearance, it doesn't seem like he invests much time in the gym - I don't see why, with a tiny bit of effort, he could at least look physically get to a zverev-esque level (by no means "muscular", but strong enough to fix muscle imbalances, prevent injury, and maximize his potential).

Googled him to see if he is playing wimbledon and found this article with him talking about basketball

He compares himself to Kevin Garnett, and says he is approaching his tennis now the way that Kobe Bryant would

Amazing that he thinks he is anything like those 2 extremely professional all time great players, while voluntarily sitting out most of the last 18 months to play video games

I agree with your assessment of NK's body type. However, he did try really hard about 4 years ago or so to hit the gym and try and lean out and add some muscle mass. He felt he just could not do it. Seems he's a thinner kind of ectomorph, he's not fat but has trouble maintaining lean mass. Some call it skinny-fat.

Also he has all those attributes you mention, but he lacks endurance. He can play like an ATG, but for only 2 matches tops, then he gets tired in his next tough match and bows out.

Also, it seems you need something of a rump, strong legs and bigger calves to truly be at the top of Men's tennis nowadays. Makes me think that Berritinni (sic) also has a limit of how well he's going to do. He and NK have similar builds and both dated that one female pro from Australia who looks like a young capriati. Just FYI...

Berrettini has very skinny legs in relation to the rest of his body.
