These Vapours will achieve GSOAThood when Fed retires.

Just as people write off the power of Basalt and BLX Technology people are writing off the 2012 Spiderman Vapour 9. :D

Really disappointed that they didn't put the RF logo on, as well as trophy count. Would have made them even more GSOAT worthy.

ok retail on these were $150 and not worth more than what Packers was trying to over the heads of people. I guess the price of a grounds ticket makes up for it.

I've never been the type to "one to rock one to stock" but I did. I got a pair for my old man as well.

How can you afford all your tennis equipment? There seems to be no "Exclusives" or "Rare" clothing or shoes thread in which you don't post.

I haven't either. But if you like these then it was a good move since they are apparently exclusives. And I hope you're ignoring the comments of some of the posters. None of their business.

Went to buy the Vapor NYC shoes at US Open and they are mostly gone at this point. Only very small or very large sizes. Saved $150 I guess.

Do you think they have the same dri fit feel?

I remember that it has different materials but not exactly sure though.
your socks might be less cotton material than the other (PE socks).... I might be wrong.
also I've seen similar socks recently at nike so your socks might not be old stocked items. (release around 2008-09).

seems like you are looking for nadal (Berdy, delpo) PE socks and believed your socks are similar to those when you buy your socks.
bottom line is... the socks is just so-so. it's not great but it's not bad.

No I'm really happy with them, I wanted cushioned socks that are Nike, and that's what I got. I do believe they are the retail version from 2009. So TODAY the retail verison is different? And then there's the PE versions? What's the breakdown of NIKE TENNIS socks today?

Nike makes socks from various factories. ( a little different situation than shoes or apparels). so many places (US, Mexico, China, Turkey, Parkistan etc). material content might be same but the feel of actual materials might be different even though they have same product number.

I noticed that elite socks were produced several other factories and made in turkey socks were better in my opinion.

it's very hard to tell until you have both socks. if you want to know more about your socks, call nike and give them the product number then ask them for production date. they might be able to tell you which year was the production date. If you got it from bay, there is a good chance that the seller got the socks from outlet which was not similar to PE socks. I've seen the socks and I felt it's lightly thinner than PE socks.

anyway, I was not really impressed by PE socks which is PSX175-130 for white (for got other color code).

If you want cushioned nike socks, Elite or nike compression socks might be the best. (Personally prefer compression socks because of arch support, I might say elite has more cushion but compression socks still has more cushion than other socks).

Thanks for the info. I've got compressions, and they're good, yes, but aesthetically I like the ones I got from the bay because it gives me the look of the cotton (four black logos, plus grey bottoms) but the dri fit and cushion of a tennis sock. But thanks for the info, I'll figure it out!

You got right socks PE socks do not have L R letters.
The retail socks have L R letters in the picture above.
I believe the material is also slightly different but not 100% sure.
BTW what is black socks color code? Is it 010?

and yes they are $8! I think I'm going to like these more because they are cheaper than elites and way better than the normal drifits. Elites are great but I find the arch support unnecessary. still yet to have to try these on the court!

Has anyone noticed that the reference of the premier wristbands is not PAC200 anymore but PAC275 whereas the composition remains the same!?

It's strange because Nike didn't change the reference in 2011 when they changed the composition (2010's wrists don't have any rubber in their composition whereas from 2011 they have 4% rubber).

Kim, do you have more details on this move??

i got my hands on some wrist bands and the limited exclusive vapors..
What wristbands did you get ?
D'you have the "blue glow" and "university red" one ?
How does the blue look like compares to other blue wristband (let's say neptune blue) ?
How do the red looks compare to last year?
thanks

Nike change their product numbers all the time.
Since I started arrow-up tennis apparels, I have not really tracked Nike anymore but I think they changed the product number because they need to create more various color codes. I don't think material changed.
Even if they changed a little, it will be almost same.
Good to know Nike changed PAC200 to PAC275.
I am wondering what is the bandana product number.
I remember that it was pac183 before.

Thanks Kim!!
Indeed bandanas were PAC183.
I thought the color codes were only the last 3 numbers. So you think they use this new "275" code to create new colors with the last 3 numbers? For example : PAC200-340, which was the hot lime from USO 2010, wouldn't be the same color as PAC275-340 (which doesn't exist yet)?? Interesting!

Yes.
For example, pac200-408 is treasure blue and PAC275-408 is BLUE GLOW/WHITE.
New product does always mean that they change materials.

Picked up a Nike NYC 12 black tshirt and the material does feel very thin and cheap--especially for $36. Also was not impressed with the sock collection etc. but don't get me wrong--that place was killing it!! The polo store was most impressive and US Open collection pretty good too

Know one thing for sure--def gonna pick up a pair of the navy/light blue vapor 9. Awesome looking and feeling shoe!! US Open exclusive does not look that bad in person, but the retails all look better. Great trip!!!

can anyone at the open tell me if the vapor 9's are still availiable at the booth? I have a freind there and they said they will try to get a pair for me.

Thanks in advance

I saw that this morning.. very accurate. in the US everybody I know has at least 1 pair of elite socks.. Is it like that overseas?

Here in France, They don't sell Elite socks (as navy/red, or white/University blue) exept for a few running pairs. What a shame.
