Novak Djokovic Is Now Halfway To Roger Federer's record 65-match grass court win streak

With Novak's win over Andrey Rublev in the Wimbledon QF, he extended his grass-court win streak to 33. He hasn't lost a match on grass since losing to Marin Cilic in the 2018 Queen's Final.

Djokovic nudging past the halfway point of Federer's record 65-match grass win streak is a testament to how great Novak has been on grass the past few years, and also just how amazing Federer's win streak was.

Is Federer's record in danger? I doubt it, but it will be fun to see how far Novak can go!

Seriously, half way isn't exactly frightening already, However, it's Novak's own fault that he never plays a small tournament before Wimbledon. He could easily have a much longer streak. Or who knows, maybe he would have lost in Best of 3 somewhere, like it happens more often for him recently.

Yeah he'd have likely lost a match as Queens and Halle play much faster than Wimbledon.

Or the streak will be over long ago cos he is vulnerable in 3 sets nowadays.

Fed’s streak is so long because he always had a full grass load. 2-3 tournaments on grass and then Wimbledon.

Djokovic hardly ever played the grass warmups and hasn’t since 2018 Queens.

But even if he did I don’t think he matches Fed’s streak. He’s pretty vulnerable in BO3. All it would take is a big server having a good day to take him out at Queens/Halle.

Impressive from Djokovic, but no chance this record will even be remotely threatened.
Given the level of the grass field, I don't see him ever losing on grass again. (maybe if he played BO3, but he doesn't) So if he plays for a few more years, the record will be broken.

Even if he does win Wimbledon again next year that streak will be broken well before he gets near Roger's record.

This is why even if Novak does tie Roger on 8 Wimbledon's to me Roger will always be above Novak on Grass. However i would give edge to Novak on all the other surfaces albeit a very small edge.
