Novak is Benjamin Button

G.O.A.T.
Think about it. In his early 20s, his body routinely got tired and worn down in long matches and extreme conditions. Now, his body is lithe and nimble and indefatigable. He’s been better in his late 20s and 30s than he was in his early-to-mid 20s. I think the conclusion is clear: Novak experiences time backwards.

We see this even within matches: He often looks more tired in the second set of a match than in the fifth. This would also explain how he’s able to be so calm and clutch on match points. For him, it’s actually pretty early in the match. No big deal if he gets behind a bit when he’s still fresh and confident. By contrast, he often gets off to slow starts in matches, which makes sense as by that point he’s spent several hours on court.

Novak is actually getting younger. Hence his joke, which we now know is not really a joke at all, that he’s the Next Gen. The only question is at what point will he be too young to keep winning?
