Kyrgios’ Biggest Problems on Sunday…

1. He’s won as a “who cares” player. His admitted nerves tell us he cares very much. I think he gets swallowed by the occasion.

2. He often uses animosity to feed on and get into opponents’ heads. Not only does Novak feed on this, he’s actually chummy with Novak now. They are instagram buddies even this week.

3. His biggest weapon - his serve - will be nuetralized by Novak’s biggest weapon - ROS, nobody does it better in the history of the game. Nick will have to rely on long rally tactics. Novak can eat that up all day.

4. He was born in the 1990s.

what do you see?

I predict that we'll see the weaknesses in Nick's game highlighted on Sunday.

He has a very weak baseline game compared to Djokovic.

His return is certainly not as good as Djokovic's.

Novak is clearly the best in the world at coming back in matches. Nick loses that battle.

He loses the fitness battle also.

I don't see any way for Nick to win.

He's playing one of the greatest players of all time.
He's playing a guy that is about to tie Sampras' number of Wimbledons.
He has no business in a slam final.

Also his focus will be split by trying to present this new version of himself as a nice civilised chap who will be less likely to be prosecuted in court in a few weeks. He really needs to be at his most snarling, abusive and bullying in order to get the best out of himself and put the other player off his game. Catch-22 much.

I see a 4 set victory for Novak. He loses the opening set, TTW declares him finished, will never win another slam.

Then Kyrgios has no chance of winning the match after that, Novak romps home in the next 3 sets, TTW declares that Novak will win 40+ slams and 15+ Wimbledons. With the customary weak era threads, grass is a joke threads, next gen mug threads.

Is Nick better at grass court tennis than Nadal and Federer who have lost Wimbledon finals to Djokovic with the crowd on their side? Djokovic has beaten many big servers at Wimbledon and if he is in half-decent form, Djokovic should win as his game is the biggest problem for Kyrgios.

Djoker will do what it takes to steer the match towards a maximum of baseline exchanges. It won't take long to realize his superiority in this little game, especially on the backhand diagonal. Kirgyos' only chance would be to serve better than ever all match and set the grass on fire, but that won't happen. For old people, it reminds me of Wilander Leconte in the 1998 French Open final.
Djoker will remind everyone that nerves of steel are stronger than a big mouth.

Kyrgios acts like an ******* at times but it's so childlike people can't think he's a bad person.

Most of it is already covered but I’d say Novak’s serve is probably the biggest non-Nick problem.

Nick’s plan A is instinctive improvisation. Maybe that works for a set or two, but it’s hardly gonna hold up all match. His plan B will be brutally examined. His plan B is just serve well, cling on and hope for a TB in each set. I doubt he’ll find a way against Novak’s serve in the TBs.

Kyrgios will be happy to make it appear close, like a tight set or two, or even winnig the 1st set. He can then brag he is a GS winner level player, just happened to face the best ever Wimbledon player, GOAT, whatever.

This final is an intriguing prospect for so many reasons.

I'm not a fan of the attitude of either player and one of them stands to be taken down a peg or two depending on the result.

Besides the poetic justice waiting to be served, both players are capable of extremely potent (and very different styles of) grasscourt play so we really should see some entertaining tennis and plenty of drama.

I really have no clue how the match is going to play out. This is one final where I really have no emotional investment at all so I'm just happy to see it unfold as it may.

Kyrgios is a head case and no one knows which version of him will show up - the clown from the Tsitsipas match or the calm, patient player who beat Nakashima and Garin.

But, Djokovic might lay an egg in the final also as he has been a pale version of himself for most of the Slam finals he has competed in recently even if he won some of them - W19, AO20, FO20, FO21 and US21. The only Slam finals he has played well in the last three years are AO19, AO21 and W21. So, who knows which Novak will show up for the final also.

Saw Kyrgios press conference. He has already lost. He clearly wanted Nadal as he despises Nadal. Now he has not got that match it seems he has lost interest. He all but said that in the presser.
The final will be a non event. Djokovic will win somethig like 6-2 6-1 6-4.
Right! Kyrgios has no interest in the Wimbledon final because Nadal is out!!! LMAO!!!
