Novak's last TEN years!!

You're starting from when Novak reached his peak and are counting years when Fed hadn't even blossomed yet. And that's on top of counting 10 years for Federer and just 9 for Djokovic.

2003-2009, Fed won 6 Wimb's in 7 years vs Novak winning 5 in 9 years.

I counted the way OP counted from 2011 to 2020 & so counted 2001-10 .

Ok then will have to count 2003-13 which gives 7 WBs .

It's been the decade of Djokovic, no suprising ATP called him the player of the decade.

Djokovic's rise coincided with the beginning of the second decade (Jan 1st 2011 - Dec 31st 2020 since there was no year zero before the year AD1, decades start at years ending with 1 and end at years ending with 0 ) so he just won at least one GS in 3 decades...I don't know if there is another player who had done it before?

In their best 10 calendar years, the BIG3 have won similar number of Slams:

Federer 17 (2003-2012)
Djokovic 16* (2011-2020)
Nadal 14 (2005-2014)

*Djokovic was denied possibility of winning WIM2020 due to cancellation

Djokovic achievements in the past decade are truly amazing:

Idk seems pretty obvious from your posts who needs some lovin'.
You seem really desperate.
I won't deny that I need people's love, the more I can have, as every human being does. No man is an island.
But I wouldn't do everything for love, as making boob throws in order to achieve that.

Good for you. Go for a walk, might make you feel better, don't let hate towards tennis player consume you.

Read it again lol. My statement is factual. If Nadal wins more majors he will be YE1. That is how the rankings work. I do not know if you are aware but Majors have 2000 points. That is much more than other events.
You on the other hand say Djokovic will get 20 Majors. And to that i correct the comment and say...if if if.
We had cases of players being YE #1 when someone else won more Majors that year. It is rare but what you said is not a guarantee.

That is just some incredible domination isn't it, look at those numbers, leading in all those categories. The last decade truly was the era of Djokovic. (y)

It must be very hard when being the most successful does not guarantee you’ll be the most loved.
Keep on throwing boobs.

The same can be said of the opposite, though: no amount of consensual love thrown someone's way will make them the most accomplished or successful if by the end of their career they have almost no stand-alone records left.

From 2001 to 2010 , Fed won 6 Wimbledons

From 2011 to 2019, Novak won 5 Wimbledons .

I wish there was no 2020 WB cancellation , and Novak would have a chance to win 6 WB too ,in a decade .

Hopefully , I hope 2021 WB doesn't get cancelled again .
Wimbledon 2021 will take place, in the worst case there will be matches without spectators. Novak gets his chance at the 6th Wimbledon title!

Correct.
Life is a popularity contest. We know that.

Correct.
Life is a popularity contest. We know that.

But sports history continues beyond a lifetime, which means popularity can also shift.
Every champion will be subject, in the future, to some kind of revisionist account that will depict him/her, if not as the opposite of what he was perceived as, at least in a different light.
And the way Djokovic is going about things in is career (one guy against tennis fandom establishment) is the perfect story to potentially make him a hero in years to come.
I already know a lot of people who have changed their minds about him, the same way a lot of people changed their minds about Nadal after the initial shock of him beating Federer - the almost consensual hero - repeatedly.

Pretty mind boggling decade of excellence. (2011 to present)

86 Finals appearances in 10 years
64 tournament victories
17 major championships

90% winning percentage

It's one of the greatest 10 year periods of excellence in SPORTS history.
Who else compares for a 10 year stretch of utter brilliance? (Federer from 2003-2012), Nadal from 2005-2014, Serena, Michael Phelps, Babe Ruth, Pele, Michael Jordan, Steffi Graf, Wayne Gretzky, Tom Brady, Tiger Woods...I'm sure I'm forgetting a few)

Novak has proven to be one of the top 20 sports athletes of all time, maybe top 10-15.

Djokovic year 2011 might be the greatest year ever for not only a tennis player but athlete

Djokovic has no era. Federer was the top dog his era, then Nadal took over. Djokovic has played 2nd fiddle to Nadal his whole career as always playing catch up. They are only a year apart age wise.
You're kidding, right? One of the reasons it would be somewhat bad if Nadal ends with the most majors of the trio is because NADAL is the one of the three who never really owned this era. He spent most of it as the second best guy, second first to Federer, then to Djokovic. Even now, Djokovic has nearly 2 years more weeks at number 1? That's a lot.

Sorry its simple. Nadal and Djokovic same era. Nadal has been best of the era. Federer was best of his. Djokovic never has been best.

Most dominant decade of all time along with Pete in the 90s!!

Federer had a great spell from 04-07 dominating Roddick, Hewitt, Bagdhatis, Philippousis, Kiefer, Grosjean, Bjorkman etc but Nadal completely owning him in 08-09 and him mostly sucking in 00-02 means I can’t declare it his decade.

It’s more common to group decades from 0-9, excluding the 1st decade after AD.
