As many of you know I am a big Hewitt fan but this year at the US Open I find myself rooting for Agassi. I dont know why but I really want him to win the USO, even if it means beating Hewitt in the final. I think i'm just worried that this may be one of the last chances the great man gets to play in the semi finals of a major. I know this is going nowhere but does anyone feel the same?

I completely feel the same way gurj, except for the fact that I'm a huge agassi fan (and not a hewitt fan). This is probably one of the last majors where he can make the semis and possibly final, as well as the australian open if he doesn't run into Federer.

I'd like to see Hewitt beat Federer which would have the dual beneficial outcomes of

a) stopping Roger from becoming too smug - he's a lovely bloke, but too much winning can't be good for anyone's ego, and

b) restore poor Lleyton's battered morale after his infamous and wildly humiliating double bagel in last year's final.....

But then I want Andre to win the final so he can end his glorious career on a humongous high....

I find it easy to pull for any of the semi-finalists, both the men and women. Would have also loved to see Blake and Lindsay in the semis, but someone has to lose.

Really glad that the Williams sisters and Nadal are out. Not surprised either. Can't take their self-absorbed style or the obsession of their followers.

Id be worried about Aggasi winning though. It may convince him to go out on top like Sampras. If he doesnt win, i think it will be more likely for him to retire now.
