Old Tennis magazine study of Roscoe Tanner

I misplaced an artcle I had in Gladys Hellman’s World Tennis magazine on Roscoe Tanner’s serve. It had a great photo sequence (about 18 photos) of his serve, taken from the front. Anybody remember the issue? Anybody have it? If so, could you post the photos? Thanks

If I was trying to track it down I would contact the current owner and if they don’t have it then perhaps someone like Steve Flink who was a writer and editor there at the time.

Good luck. I’m curious to see how determined you are to find it. :)

Googling, I saw it on sale on **** here: https://www.****.com/itm/Vintage-Wo...addtnl-issues-CHECK-DESCRIPTION-/141847967925

Only problem, they do not ship to Switzerland! But at least I know it is the april 1977 issue. Will find a seller who ships to Switzerland sooner or later...

I forgot about the world’s junk store as the first place to look. Looks like seller ships everwhere but Switzerland. o_O Do you guys not pay and hide behind some banking secrecy law. :p

Asked a friend in New York. Ordered it specifying her address and she will send it to me. When I get it, if I find the photo sequence, will post it her.

I just got the magazine, but it is not the one with the photo sequence of Tanner’s serve! Search continues...

Over a week and Steve Flink has not replied. Is there nobody out there who is familiar with the World Tennis issue with Roscoe Tanner?

I wonder if anyone remembers it. It was a full page with a sequence of high speed photos of Tanner serving, seen from the front.
