One small tweak to my serve stance had a huge effect.....

A lot of times, I just don't bend my legs enough to get much of a launch on serve.
No leg bend, no recoil, no way to extend and jump. Legs straight means you get 1" vertical.

In the middle of a match, I noticed I tend to address with my knees straight locked out.
This is automatic, since it takes less energy than bending knees like in a squat.

So, in my address, before the toss, I bent my knees ever so slightly.
When I tossed, this made the full knee bend much more connected, since it had already begun.

I got the next 4 first serves in while swinging at 100%

Not really a small tweak unless you're buying into that internet tennis coaching add where the guy claims the legs only add like 6 mph to the serve.

I am not adding pace with legs, I am adding height.
My net faults often hit the top of the tape.
With a leg bend, the ball is much more likely to clear the net.

My current serve has all the 4.5 pace I'll ever need.

So what do you do with the back foot? Bring it in and then jump or just go straight up?
