one thing i wonder...if you send the original receipt but that had two pairs of shoes on it, how do you get a replacement for the second pair when you wear that out?

I guess they don't expect you to be able to wear out TWO pairs of shoes within 6 months.

well if you send them the receipt for the first and then you wear out the next ones 5 months later, you dont have the receipt to send it in to them.

But if you bought both pairs at the same time, that would mean that you wore out the first pair in only one month? That's pretty hard to do.

Remember that the 6-month warranty is 6 months from the date of purchase, NOT 6 months from when you first start wearing them. I wish it was the latter as I often buy shoes with 6-months warranties and just put them in the closet and don't even get around to start wearing them until a year or two later. :-(

saw one guy post pics of his barricades and they were bald that was only 2 months he said...at that rate, 2 pairs of shoes of shoes in six months is easy...i saw midsole on my fila punto after 10 days...fila is a lot easier to deal with than nike...they take paypal receipts and all you have to do is cut the tongue out of the shoe and mail that to them...saves shipping costs AND fila lets you request a color and style of the replacement...but it has to be the same value though...i didnt get to upgrade to the prosimo...

Hmmm....but if Fila only wants to see the tongue of the shoe, how do they know if the soles were worn at all? I mean the soles could still have plenty of life in them when you cut out the tongue, right? They might as well include a "Buy One, Get One Free" voucher inside each shoebox good for a free pair of shoes within 6 months. ;)

Hold up, what if you wear a major hole in your shoes but the tongue is fine?!

well would you cut the tongue out of a perfectly good pair of shoes? i guess they dont have to worry about disposing of peoples beat up shoes and it saves us shipping cost...besides...i think that means they have to replace them cause what you do if you cut up your shoe and got denied another pair? :)

Yes, but you could cut out the tongue and send it to them just because you didn't like the style or color of the shoe because like you said, you can change and select a different style or color.

Also, the soles could be still usable for another 3 months or so but the shoe may look dirty or beat up, so you send in the tongue and get a spanking brand new pair of great looking shoes?

They only want the tongue to prove that you actually own the shoes, and also so that the shoes are no longer usable after you cut the tongue out, or else you'd end up with two pairs of perfectly fine shoes and everyone would be doing it. Also, all the markings of the shoe, e.g., style #, size, date of manufacture, etc., are usually printed on the underside of the tongue, and they want that info to validate the warranty replacement.

i guess thats the cost of doing business...if you dont like the style then giving you a style/color you like is good for business cause then you will be happier with the product and company and tell people how good that shoe is....i have a feeling that shoes cost them little to nothing and in the end you bought a fila product at least once and they made their money...i'm inclined to buy fila cause its so easy to deal with(i just hope the new version i got last more than 10 freakin hours on court)...when you dial the 800# a live person answers right away...and it only costs $.39 to send in the tongue in an envelope...

Is that how long your last pair of Fila shoes lasted?

Funny, because I bought a pair of Diadora tennis shoes a couple of years ago and that's about how long they lasted me. I just couldn't believe how fast they wore out. Even after the first outing, there was already significant signs of tread wear! By the 5th or 6th time wearing them, the tread was pretty much completely smooth! Unfortunately, these didn't even have any outsole warranty. Now I understand why!

After that bad experience, I decided to stay away from Italian brand tennis shoes, so no more Diadora, Fila nor Lotto shoes for me. Funny, as I used to wear Diadora tennis shoes all the time back in the '80's and early 90's and they used to be great.

...

yeah, i had them on for 10 days and i saw the midsole...i didnt play every day but 1hr to 2hrs a few days in that window comes to about 10-12hrs...my first pair of puntos lasted the month...not sure why these went faster...maybe i dragged more this time around...i was gonna buy 4pairs when i saw them marked down to 40$ and figured i could burn all four in the 7 month window...in case it took longer than a 1 month each i had a little margin there...they told me the punto2 is more durable...not sure about italian shoes...i heard some lottos are super durable...i want to try lotto, asics, diadora and prince...but dont have any place around here that has a bunch of tennis shoes...proshops have nike and adidas as you would expect..one place has prince but its about 50minutes drive and i just dont feel like making the trek up there just to try something...

when you send the shoes back to them, do they work on the shoes that you gave them, or do they give you a totally new pair?
