Pablo Carreno Busta is winnng the US Open

He is already the worst and most uninteresting player to ever make a semis

If he won I would consider shutting down the mens tour for a while to figure out what went wrong that this moron is winning titles

he does, rafael nadal parera
Spaniards and nearly all Latin Americans have two last names; the second of which is the last name from the mother in Spanish speaking countries (and from the father in Brazil).
I don't know why many Spanish players are listed that way, while the others in the same situation aren't.

Can you imagine if Rafa and Pablo both win their semis? We'll get the long awaited dream match so tragically cut short in Paris.

I dont understand why people hate so much Rafa playing with another Spanish players. As good as Wawrinka is we have seen many terrible matches between him and Roger.Yet no one complains. Rafa Verdasco 2009 AO match still one of the best matches off all time quality wise.

Verdasco and Lopez are exceptions, mainly due to their playstyles. The usual Spanish bend over is more like the Monte Carlo final where Ramos couldn't even put a ball in play. Those are much worse to watch than Nadal beating up Stan, Fed, etc. Imo.

I'm a huge Busta fan

He gets an unfair rep on here. He's played well to get his spot in the SF. His game is in the same mold as other Spanish players like Moya, Ferrero and Ferrer - except so far all those guys played it at a higher level (the former 2 at a much higher level).

I actually wouldn't be surprised if Busta won. If his match against Shapovalov was any indication, the guy is mentally there, is confident and is moving extremely well. He's also young but experienced and his baseline game is well suited for the slow HC.

He's 50/50 against Anderson. Anderson is fragile mentally and his game could go off totally, especially in pressure moments. I think Busta will be "boringly solid". And that might be enough against Anderson.

If Del Potro somehow beats Nadal, Busta definitely has a shot against him.

If it's Rafa vs Busta in the final, I would love to finally see a mutiny in the Spanish Armada :D

I do hope Anderson goes through, but I watched Carreno-Busta against Shapovalov, and I confess I was impressed by the Spaniard. I was also impressed how easily he prevailed over Schwartzmann. If Nadal vs Carreno-Busta it is in the final, we could see at least 4 sets (same if against Del Potro).

I seriosly don't understand all the hate on Busta. Just because we haven't seen him in the headlines for the past 2-3 years or hitting tweeners and jumping volleys every second game, does not mean we shouldn't appreciate him as a player. He put in loads of effort and it's starting to pay off now. Who cares about the draw. Give the guy some credit.
