Cool vid man, thanks for posting. I really like Grigor. Fair play to him though, he just wants to be his own man

Thanks for posting. Didn't like the guy at first because I thought he purposely tried to play and look as much as Federer as possible but that's not true, he's a really cool guy with a beautiful style. Might become my favorite player one day.

Oh, I think he did purposely try to play like Fed. But I don't think there's any shame in that. Everyone's been saying for years that Fed has nearly perfect form. If you've got the talent, why not copy him? People ridicule copying strokes, but they forget that Laver copied Hoad's game. Laver's forehand was almost identical to his idol Hoad's, just like Dimitorov's is almost the same as Fed's. Then Navratilova copied Laver's game, and freely admits it. Nobody ridiculed Laver or Navratilova, probably because without lots of video to look at it's not as obvious when a player has copied another. If you've got the talent and body type for it, copying an all-time great's strokes seems like a smart move.

And yeah, Dimitrov seems like a very good kid with a beautiful (and increasingly deadly) game.

grigor is a cool customer. watched a bit of a tursonov match (the two are good buddies) with him on an outside court at the USO last year. he had a towel over his neck, was sucking on a lollipop and generally had no care in the world. was talking to him about playing benoit paire in R1, unfortunately he lost in 4 sets that time.

You can't possibly deny he's tried to clone his strokes from Federer. Reminds me of that one Indian guy who has copied Sampras' strokes. Get real, people.

Dimitrov is a sort of fake Rolex and needs to acknowledge it.

Great vid, thanks for posting!
He seems still very young and childish, but in a good way of course. But I think he must become slighly more serious if he wants to win the big ones. I think Boris at 17 was probably more serious than him, :)

What a guy and what an interview. Always enjoy listening to Grigor and these interviews continue to make him more and more endearing.

I thought the similarity to their games was obvious before I knew he was nicknamed baby Fed. It's hard not to see.
