Pella. "Djokovic's balcony is bigger than my room. But at least he said something. I'm surprised with Nadal and Thiem's silence".

ah, the beauty of social crapwork (twitshit, fecesbook, instaflush, etc.):
- you speak, you get smashed.
- you say nothing, you get smashed.

in those conditions, can you blame players for not saying anything?
(but what the nadal did -or didn't do- is, of course, simply inacceptable and disgusting)

What about Thiem, what he did or did not do, is it unacceptable and disgusting, too?

Quarantine is not fun. I have friends and relatives who have had to do it. They actually had to pay for their quarantine though.

I've stayed at two of the three hotels where the players in Melbourne are located. One is a good hotel, the other is one of the best in the city.

The players knew they had to quaratine for two weeks. Some say they also knew if they came into contact with a confirmed Covid case they would probably not be allowed to travel to courts to train, others say they didn't know. I would have thought that was common sense, but I guess that's asking too much of some tennis players.

Regardless, those complaining about having to quaratine knew they were coming to quaratine. What did they expect?

Pella has not commented on Wawrinka's suite in Melbourne.
Common denominator for size of rooms: Being a previous Champion.
Wawrinka shows off his suite while other players complain about their rooms

I'm not his fan but Djoker is the only real person out there. Acting like a normal human being, making mistakes and also doing good stuff. The rest of the top just sits in silence pretending to be perfect while in fact they are just afraid of the media and their reputation. Go Nole be a human being, we have enough media trained robots.

How many grand suites do you think these hotels have? TA had to book out the whole hotel for quarantine. Someone gets the big rooms, someone gets the small ones. How else are you going to decide who gets what?

This says it all about what kind of person Stan is truly, but what else can you expect from an elitist Swiss

Surprised Kyrgios didn't tweet about it

Why should Nadal and thiem talk about other players' issues ?? They are not desperate to be liked ,isn't it ? ( As per TTW )

Infact , those who never support lower ranked players and keep their mouth shut in times of crisis are loveable and are actual feminists . They never talk freely and hence they can't make mistake too . Smart

Yep, easy to not make any mistakes when you're not actually doing anything. I don't think the rest of the top guys are even afraid of media backlash, they simply don't give a sh1t. Novak can be loony at times but he does care.

Nadal does not like drama off court. I am sure he is quietly supporting players and saying what he thinks to administrators in his own way.
Djokovic seeks drama. The more public the better. The more self-sabotaging the better. If he can look the victim and self-aggrandize, bingo!

You don't understand....to some poasters, anything done by The Nadal is by definition disgusting and unacceptable because, well, he is The Nadal.

just like for some poasters anything that Novak does or doesn't is by definition disgusting and unacceptable because, well, he is The Nadal.
welcome to the world of celebrity hating & social media

They expected 4 hours per day outside of the room.

Yeah they knew what they signed up for. Any moaning and groaning on this issue basically means you're an entitled pro athlete who thinks they're special.

I understand how this is difficult as a fan. Despite being more of a Rafa supporter, I felt Novak was just being more mindful in this particular case. That said, Rafa is definitely more PC than Novak and we don't know if he is doing things behind the scenes. This particular case was harmless from Novak (imho) and media just blew it out of proportion.

Give it to umpires. Coaches. Whatever. Players should have same treatment. but better food and training equipment in every room.

Social media has brought out the worst in many people since you got folks, many of whom are middle aged to older adults, who are disgruntled with their lives start spouting nonsense online since they wouldn’t have the guts to say it in person to anyone.
