"People don't like Djokovic because he beats their favourite player all the time" - Mardy Fish

I get your point bro, I just wanna say there was no Fedal Party after 2011. It was only Rafa Party if anyhting :p
And please don't mention 2017 as a proof. There was a lack of great players back then and Murray Stan Delpo all had injury problems. That anomaly happened in 2015-16 too. Without Rafa in the picture, Novak did enjoy so much as well;)

Federer likely ends 2014 and 2015 (perhaps even 2012) as #1 without Djokovic but do go on lol.

That's "one" reason why some don't like him.

The main reason is because he plays BORING tennis. He does not give anything to a normal fan to get excited about. It's all about sucking the life out of an opponent without going for any sort of winners. The "Sinners" or "Alcarazes" or "Shapovalovs" or "Tsitsipases" attact more fans because of their exciting brand of fearless and explosive tennis. Medvedev is another boring player or will become one when he's on top.

Zv is slightly more exciting than Med because he has weapons. Another example is FAA. He's another boring player. People don't like robotic play. That's the truth.
You nailed one of them. His boring tennis style. I just can't watch Murray, Ferrer or Berdych type matches for 3 or 4 hours.
Rafa matches can be boring too. Fed was never boring.
Sure Djokovic is a great player but also
- He's too measured with his words during pressers. Then you have those meltdowns, being pissed off with fans (stare downs) who don't like him have locked him in as unlikable to many. Off the court he seems alright.

I don't waste my time talk of clay, it is understood that with or without moya Nadal will still in his french open if fit.

Rafa at age 16 kicked Moya aged 27, what will that loser coach Rafa on clay ????

Rafa could coach himself on clay by watching his footages after the match, he doesn't need moya :D

Talks of Moya improving Nadal's game is something which would have happened under Tony too, I think Rafa should have dumped Moya years ago and hired someone who can improve his game outside clay
Mostly agree with you. But Moya really made Rafa more aggressive on clay something Toni should have done right after 2014 RG.

Nobody can win 6-7 years without losing, that is called law of averages, it stop you.

Rafa's loss to soderling, then 15-16 period was unavoidable
Federer's loss to Rafa at W, then a bit of a slump in 10-11 was also unavoidable
Novak's slump in 16-18 period was also unavoidable.

Of course without Djokovic and Nadal missing 2014 Montreal-Cinci-USO-WTF due to injuries, Roger was gonna reach #1. He was 33 back then.
At 33 Nadal had his best slam results too, excluding 2010. And without Djokovic Andy would be #1 in 2015 not Roger even without Rafa in the picture.

Novak's slump was mostly due to injuries I guess. Rafa's case was Weird. he was off for full two seasons and then came 2017 out of nowhere.

People sometimes get predictable or suffer burnout even if they don't do anything wrong, sometimes competition (youngsters) get stronger, everybody has to keep on evolving or else they get beaten by something or the other.

Maybe Rafa did get predictable with Tony, it is possible.

I seem to recall an otherwise imperious Federer losing the Wimbledon US Open and World Tour finals to none other than Novak Djokovic in 2015. Hard to imagine anyone else on tour taking those tournaments away from him.

Conversely, other than the ‘15 AO, Murray’s form in tournaments in which he lost to Djokovic that year was considerably less impressive (certainly can envisage him losing to Wawrinka at the AO or Wawrinka/Nadal at the FO) and had he made the ‘15 IW Final he would have been a heavy underdog against Federer.

As for 2014: lol, Federer sans Djokovic would have been the prohibitive favourite to win Wimbledon that year. If you’re gonna pooh-pooh that year away due to Nadal’s injuries, what about 2017? Both won two majors but Fed dominated the H2H, won more M1000’s/Tier 1 titles and made it out of the group stages at the WTF while Nadal…*checks notes*…made an extra final and was mOrE cOnSiStEnT. Fed was the one who had a Major campaign blunted by injury (the US Open)…an event which Nadal, incidentally, won without beating a single Top 20 player. Records against the top 10? Fed 14-2 (in one of those losses he could barely move, the other one went deep into the final set) Nadal 12-6. Nadal, of course, was the healthier player that year.

At the very least (taking Djokovic out of the picture), 2014 and 2017 cancel out.

That and I feel like seeing someone every single day and applying the same tactics for more than a decade could look mundane, at least for me:laughing:

Out of the 14 big events played in 2015, Roger didn't pass the 3R in exactly half of them! So it seems that he had more problems than just beating Novak!

Which also seems measured or contrived as they are typically over reactions. At the very least it reeks of desperately seeking attention.

basically THEE reason. Djokovic hardly anyone's "favorite". You were either a Fed or Nadal fan and djoker was seen as the third wheel. While Fedal were fighting for goat-hood, djoker took it from both of them. That left a sour taste in everyone's mouth as everyone figured Djokovic was ultimately going to be lagging 2-3 slams behind until retirement. That's Fedal's fault though. They had a butt-ton of chances to win more slams. Nadal blew 3 Australians at least. Fed blew countless Wimbledons and USO's. (basically what killed Fed was no US Open title for 13 years. Not acceptable) All those blown slams they should have won sealed the deal and Djokovic took advantage of the opening.

But you shouldn't resent djokovic. You should resent your fav player Nadal or Fed. They are the ones that blew it. Nadal had no business blowing those AOs.. Fed had no business blowing every damn Wimbledon since 2012 except for that crappy one with cilic in the final. LOL

That’s just shifting the goalposts. The point is Federer would likely have been #1 in 2015 without Djokovic.

Also, he was 7/12 (58.3%) in passing the third round of Tier 1 events he actually played, and reached more Tier 1 finals than Murray (6-5, 2-1 in Majors and 1-0 in WTF’s…Murray was more consistent in Masters, though.)

So, that’s three years (2012, 14 and 15) where he likely ends the year as #1 without Djokovic. Or, if you don’t want to give credit to him for 2014 due to Nadal being on the shelf, we have 2017 where the roles were reversed and Nadal was more active/less injured but probably played the worse tennis on the year.

It's not very health to resent your favorite player. Better to keep your admiration intact by hating someone else.

I don’t think Rafas was that weird too be fair. Rafa has a nack of coming back and being at a high level. AO19 he was high then ran into peak Djokovic at his slam.
Djokovic slump benefited Fed more than Nadal as Fed got 2 AO and a Wimbledon where Djokovic cleans up. Nadal won 2 RG which is expected. Djokovic being around makes RG harder as he will challenge Nadal and if Nadal isn’t at his best he can beat him. Nobody else can there

It's amazing how many times Djokovic's PR team has attempted to re-brand him. Now it's this wolf thing. What will they think of next?

I lean toward Murray for 2015 other than that I think you are right (y)

There is a pain in your sentence when you say you like Novak and he has made your fav player's life bad.
That's you coming to terms that Novak is better than Rafa and there is no point arguing against it :D

If Rafa wins some slams then you would be quick to pour venom on Novak but that is not possible
Yes, Novak is in the # 1 position at the moment, no doubt about that. I've never really poured venom at all on Djokovic. I think he deserves all the success he's had and it looks right now that he is the GOAT
