Pete Sampras last Wimbledon title?

Hi there everybody,
I've joined this forum on my search to some footage of Sampras's last Wimbledon Final, but I just can't find it anywere! (I did search this forum, but without any result, forgive me if I've overlooked it).

For some reason, it seems, not many people seem interested in this match.
Ok, it's not the most spectacular match in history, but for me atleast a very special one.
This was Sampras's last title on Wimbledon, the Slam he has pretty much dominated for many years.
It was a very emotional final, and I'm a sucker for those things.
I am not a Huge fan or anything, but I grew up with Sampras(well, I didn't actually grow up with him, but I watched him play as I grew up) and moments like those are nice to have a look back at.

Offcourse, ideal would be the whole match including the ceremony, but anything would be nice.
Any help at all would be very, very much appreciated.

am not a Sampras fan, but thought I'd take a shot at trying to help you. I went to google and put in some key words. I guess it really just depends on how much footage you want. My guess is the more you want the harder it's going to be to find, but here are some starters.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/in_depth/2001/wimbledon_2001/audiovideo_archive/default.stm (This will give you the last game played, as well as footage after Sampras wins and goes for about 3 minutes)

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2928074447734488810 (this goes through moments in the last set, more jumbled and is a little more then a minute)

I would say to find more use the google search, but I must admit it was harder to find stuff on this then I thought.

There are lots of sites on the net where you can buy practically any match thats ever been broadcast. Try googling Tennis DVDs.

That being said, I have the whole match on tape, including the ceremony. If you're in the states I'll gladly make you a copy.

I have searched google as much as I could, and I have come across some other classic matches, but this one seems to be very rare for some reason.
I have come across that second video you posted, however I haven't seen the first one, so that is a very nice starter, thanks again!

Yeah, I've come across some of them, and I have actually ordered a dvd at some stage, but I never received it.
I figured I'd give it a try, but unfortunately it didn't turn out as I'd hoped, so I'm now a bit wary when it comes down to ordering stuff from the net.
The more reliable sites like amazone.com don't have this match, as far as I have seen.
Oh well, I'll probably stumble on something eventually...
Too bad I live in the Netherlands, which isn't quite around the corner, but thanks for the offer!

It's been a few years but $40 US sticks in my mind. Could have been $20 or $30 though. Was nothing outrageous that made me think twice though. I bought some as gifts for friends and they were quite happy with them too. A friend of mine bought a couple last fall. She's at Wimby now but I can ask when she gets home. The quality on the ones I got was very good. Nothing worse then if I made a copy of one of my matches for someone.

That is quite a bit nearer, but unfortunately according to the extra info on that site, the audio tracks are in Italian, so I'd rather wait a bit longer for the English commentary.

I sent the guy a mail, It's definitely worth a try for those few dollars, so I hope to get a reply soon.

If you buy the 'Legends Of Wimbledon - Pete Sampras' DVD, it includes most of that match (plus his first Wimby title against Courier) in the extras section of the DVD. And the documentary itself is excellent.
