Pojie String Extenders by String Advantage?

Five or so years ago a company called String Advantage marketed these small devices that appeared to catch on for a while. They effectively extended the central main strings and added some cushioning. Many users reported increased ball pocketing and decreased shock on the wrist and elbow.
The only drawback was added weight. I had a package of these lying around for nearly 5 years and finally decided to use them in a Wilson Steam 99s. (I had to give up using these racquets due to the shock on my wrist.) However after installing three Pojies I found that the shock diminished by 80%. I'm now able to use this racquet with minimal discomfort. I tried ordering more Pojies through the company's website but have received no response to any of my enquiries. If anyone as any additional information about the company, or happens to have some unused Pojies collecting dust, I'd be happy to take them off your for a modest cost. Thanks.

No, OP is talking about string extenders that lengthen the mains going thru the throat. If you search for "pojie extenders", it will show up.

I order a box of them last year, I emailed them about my order to confirm and like you, no reponse. But eventually my order did come through. So maybe wait a little longer to see if your order arrives.

I am inclined to wait and give the company a chance because I'm really a believer in these things. And with the awesome assistance of a responder to this thread - God bless him - a portion of what I ordered is heading my way.

It's really amazing when you reach out to a forum like this to get some input and end up getting far more. Some of these folks are more like angels than people. (And as a preacher, I know a little about angels.) I thank God for the sport of tennis and those amazing players that also use it to benefit others.

I had some but never used them. Pretty sure I threw them out. If I have some I will pm you but don't hold your breath. FWIW if you can't get them again google power pads, which the Pojies were supposed to be a high tech version of. Or get some oport prince noodle...

Kin R. told me more about the inventor. He was / is a local surgeon in Charleston SC who developed tennis elbow. He invented these for himself hoping to help his tennis elbow.

The doctor had some local guys running the business for him and tried to get a deal with Wilson but Kin wasn't sure what happened to the doctor or the company.

Kin described to me how these Pojie really seemed to help certain frames specially mentioning the open 16x15 Steam 99S and a some stiffer Yonex Frames

Thanks for that background information Greg.

I've really been curious as to the inventor. And I can testify to the fact that they definitely reduce shock and vibration when used in racquets prone to transfer unwanted vibrations to the user's wrist, elbow and even shoulder.

As indicated earlier, they have made my Wilson Steam 99s a comfortable racquet, for which I am so grateful. I realize that these hyper-spin racquets we're more of a fad than anything else, but I really like them and now I can use them. Thank you for the information and so much more.

Kudos to YOU and Mr. Harrington (Graycrait) for going the second mile to assist me in obtaining some Pojies.

I ordered some Pojie from their website and I haven't heard back from them in 17 days! They told me they will send me email once the product is shipped. So far, nothing! I emailed them and they haven't replied for so long!
