Does anyone else do this? The kind of personal pre match traditions that you think might get you in the groove and play your best? This I admit is mine:
They say that athletes are "creatures of habit" and with me there is no exception, the night before I have to go through my gear, lay it out and then put it all back into my bag, lay out something to wear and carb up. Morning of warm up my shoulder have a good breakfast and then until my match drink nothing but water and iced tea. For some reason iced tea gets me going better than coffee and I feel hydrated (even though the caffeine dehydrates). When I have that much caffeine in my system I feel like the ball is moving in slow motion and have more focus than my opponent. I know its a little weird but I feel thats what I need to play my best...oh and my favorite hat.
