Prince Recoil in a hybrid set up with natural gut ?

Hello,

I wonder if the Prince Recoil would work in a hybrid with natural gut

I currently use Luxilon BB ALU POwer Spin, which is $17 a bag, and I thought I would try to buy some Prince Recoil and see how it will perform in a hybrid setup with Babolat Natural Gut Thermo 16 Touch.........

Anyone out there who has tried Prince Recoil in a hybrid - or just alone for that matter - doesn't seem to be many who are willing to pay the $25 instead of just going with full natural gut setup....

I'm looking for a poly like string, that will keep the tension better - could Prince Recoil be the answer ?
I also like a full natural gut setup, but feel like it gives too much power........I like some of the characteristics of Poly and some of the characteristics of Natural gut.........

For another buck you get Klip Legend nat gut. I am sure it is more durable than the Prince.

from what I was told, NO

I asked the question about using it as part of a hy_bird and was told that the full effect of the coating to slide back you have to use it in a full job. As of right now I won't try it as a brief hit left me underwhelmed, even though I understand that it is supposed to keep it qualities over a long time period.

I'll keep my "old" hybrid setup then with Babolat Thermo Natural Gut 16 Touch in the crosses and Luxilon BB ALU Power Spin in the mains then.

Might experiment with some Kirchsbaum Pro LIne II and Signum Pro Poly Hextreme instead of the Luxilon in the mains.......

That would be an expensive hybrid...

If you want less power than full gut try the gut mains / iso speed professional hybrid or poly crosses.

As someone who has actually hit the string, the first, and I mean first thing that I thought of when I hit it was that it would make an absolutely wicked blend if you put recoil crosses with gut mains.

It would have more pop, and hold tension better than poly, and the gut would bite, stretch, and slide back along the recoil for absolutely wicked spin.

I really think it would be stupidly awesome until the gut wore the slick off the recoil.
