Problems with my serve

Ok, ever since I tried platform, my serve has been off. I cannot make clean contact, every serve is a weak slice serve. It doesnt make that noise when you hit the ball. I know there's something wrong with my swingpath, and when I twist(cant find a better word lol) my elbow. Any tips?

bend ur knees, work on ur backscratch, keep ur tossing arm up until contact, hit at the highest point, always keep ur eye on the ball...

note - the way you "twist" ur elbow might be the reason it keeps slicing.

Yeah, I know I have to bend my knees, keep tossing arm up, etc. I just cant get my swing right.

the way you describe it sounds like there is no snap in the wrist. make sure you are using continental because it delivers the most natural motion for the snap to work. accelerate through the ball while snapping your wrist at the peak. dont tense up. keep that arm loose. you want to hit into it. not brush it like a stroke. as you become better..you'll learn to brush it with kickserves and slices while incorporating the snap.

I'm using continental. I tried using eastern for 2 mins(I know im not supposed to) and I can hit it a lot harder. The thing I cant do is the football throw(as gilbert says)

It sounds like you're not getting enough shoulder rotation. I had a similar problem when I switched from pinpoint to platform. I now use a modified platform stance where my feet are closer together (about 6-8 inches apart). I got the idea from watching Agassi's serve.

Take a lesson with a pro. Just one lesson. Will pay off.
No one can see what it is you're doing wrong. What you think you are doing wrong might not be what is actually wrong.

At the very least, upload a video of yourself serving.
