Pro's Overgrips?

I've noticed that when I watch Federer or Nadal play. Their overgrips don't get red with the clay. I don't how often they change the rackets, but I've noticed this a couple of times. Federer white grip stays white. Also, while I was watching another match. His overgrip was pretty red. Just something I noticed.

Is Federer using a special overgrip or does he change his rackets a lot?

yes, federer usually changes his racquet when the umpire order to change the balls

Federer also doesn't drop or throw his racquet. He doesn't slip much because of his marvelous balance and thus his hands don't get much clay on them. And yeah most top-level pros (including Federer) change racquets during the ball changes (after the first seven games, and then every nine games).

Im pretty sure I remember PMac saying that Federer changes racquets the game before new balls.

Alot of the time on TV you can't see the clay on the grip. During Davis Cup Djokavic threw his Nblade into the crowd and you could see the discoulered Wilson Pro up close but far away it seemed all white

Federer uses a "special lotion" in order to maintain "dirt-free" hands. Thus his grip is always shiny new.

he changes a lot, plays one handed backhand so he doesn't eaven touch the ball with his right hand (dirt usually comes from other hand from ball tossed to serve, so you must be playing two handed bh), court's are well wet so there's quite low possibilty for any clay to get on his overgrip...

plus he changes racquet every 7 games
