Racquet Feedback Needed - 7 Possible Demos...

I'm looking to demo 4 racquets at the start of summer vacation.

95-100 sq in head
11 to 11.5 ounce
315-325 swingweight
18mm to 23mm beam
3 to 6 points headlight
60 to 66 flex
Some Spin Potential
Solid Feel

Ones I've narrowed the possible demo list down to:
- Babolat Pure Storm (playtested many years ago, way before I ever thought about using a sub 11.5 ounce racquet)
- Babolat AeroStorm Cortex
- Dunlop 4D 300
- Dunlop 4D 300 Tour
- Tecnifibre TFight 295 VO2
- Yonex RDiS 300
- Yonex RDiS 200 Light

Love to hear feedback on any of the above racquets.

BTW: looking for a racquet with a weight and balance similar to the Head LM Radical MP and Prince TT Warrior Midplus; the topspin of the Warrior with the control and 'ease on arm' of the LM Radical Midplus; don't want to add lead tap

Thanks for any and all input.

I tried the LM Radical MP and the Warrior MP. This is what I like better and you may want to give it a try. Took a Prince Hybrid Shark MP, replaced grip with a Gamma leather one, added a overgrip and a gamma shockbuster dampner. Weighs in at 11.5 . Good soild frame, spin friendly, good power, easy on arm, good price.

Wilson BLX Pro Open. Similar weight and balance to the Radical, distinctly more powerful.

I have the nCode and tried it when I was trying out the other racquets I've used recently (nCode nPro Open, TT Warrior MP, Gamma T-7, POG Mid, Head LM Rad MP, Yonex RDX-500 MP, Pure Drive Cortex).

I know the nPro isn't the same as the BLX Pro, but the thing that bothered me about the nPro (other than the hollow feel) was the thickness. Prefer to have a thinner racquet...hence the 18-23mm beam width I mentioned in my original post.

Thanks for the input!

I'm sorry if I keep beating a dead horse and I don't want to derail the thread, but given your love for the LM Rad MP, wouldn't the logical step up be a Prestige MP? If you're put off by the weight, you shouldn't be, the low SW keeps it very maneuverable and arm friendly.

One more thing, the Head grip shape is very unique. Don't you find it difficult constantly using grips from different manufacturers?

Back on topic, last year my brother bought a Babolat AeroStorm Cortex and I used it quite a bit out of curiosity.

Here are my thoughts:

Found it too light and somewhat stiff (not that bad though). My groundstrokes came off very nicely, although my bh really benefits from a more HL balance, but I couldn't really feel what I was doing. Also, the stick generated too much automatic spin. Meaning that I had a hard time flattening out my strokes and often got caught hitting short spinny balls that would land right into my oponents hitting zone.

Anyway, hope that helps.

The thread is self defeating. You need more power than the Rad affords but specify low weight, relatively thin, relatively flexible racquets, all factors that mitigate against power, as absolute requirements. This is a silly game.

Yep...that's about the gist of it...are you saying that there is no such racquet

One I'm very intriqued by is the Yonex RDiS 200 Light: 22mm, 62 flex, 320g (with overgrip, headtape, rubberband, strung), but yet T-W says 'Moderate Swingspeed' and 'Medium Power.'

Also, a couple similar to the LM Radical MP have a 16x19 string pattern which would, with all other things being equal, would give more pop than the 18x20 of the LM Radical MP.

I appreciate your input.

One of my friends used the Head LM Radical MP for about a year before switching to the Babolat Pure Storm GT Ltd. I know that he really likes the racket, so I would try and give that one a shot. I for one noticed that his ball got heavier and he was making more shots. But he also switched to RPM Blast for his strings, so maybe that has something to do with it as well. Best of luck!

The Aero Storm is a great racquet after the use of lead. As stated here, it is a bit too light (I believe somewhere around 11 ounces). Also, the racquet was very unstable, especially if you return a very heavy serve. But after puting 6 grams on the handle, and 3 grams at 2 and 10, the racquet is definitely beastly. My whole team uses racquets like 6.1 Tours, K Blades, Prestiges, and AeroPros. But they all love this racquet.

Too heavy and too wide.

The Pacific is not very heavy, and the beam is not any wider than my radical pro. It swings easy, and feels very stable. I have a demo of it right now. Swings lighter than my AG200 and Rad Pro for sure. Very similar SW to the Pure Storm GT, headlight and maneuverable.
