Ranking the biggest head cases in men's tennis.

Ok, so I've noticed that most of the pros are subject to having mental letdowns (some more than others). While they are all talented and capable of playing some great tennis, they never seem to bring it on a consistent basis; a lot of times they are either losing to opponents they shouldn't lose to, or choking in important moments. This can make for some disappointing matches.

But how would you rank the top 10 biggest head cases/chokers currently in the top 100? We know who the usual suspects are: Monfils, Verdasco, Tsonga... I'm just wondering if there is a general consensus in this forum as to who is the weakest mentally

Murray ( though hes turning the corner a bit) still should be categorized as a bit of a head case at least slam wise.

His head casing has far outweighed getting it done on the big stage throughout his career. 2 slams don't change that. He should have four or five slams now IMO if he could have just held his nerves. Murray is his own worse enemy.

Verdasco is a major head case always has been. Stan is more of a head case when it comes to playing Federer. He just isn't that good to win slams. But he could have played Fed better than he did.

How about Davydenko? What was it a few years ago at the AO, he had the match completely in hand vs. Federer than he goes into tank mode and Fed wins like the next 12 games? ROFLMAO

I could have sworn Almagro was going to finally beat Ferrer at the Australian Open earlier this year. It was so sad to watch.

Coria. For the worst choke of all time.

I actually don't think Almagro is as big of a choker as we think. He's very consistent (especially on clay) against players ranked below him.

Dimitrov has been choking a whole lot this year.

Guys, Gasquet. Seriously, is there any other player whose mental game has let him down as much?

This is one one the most talented players to pick up a racket in the last 20 years yet he has failed throughout his whole career because he can't believe in his game and chokes against top players.

Gasquet.

Please explain how Coria choked.
