RF97 with low tension poly

I'd like to try a full bed of poly at low tension in my RF97. I'm thinking somewhere between 30 and 42 pounds.

If anybody tried low tension poly in RF97, I would really appreciate your recommendation on what tension to try first.

The best non poly setup that I found in RF97 is Prince Premier Control at 58# with lots of string savers. I'd like to compare it to a low tension poly at least a few times. I'm a 3.5 and I'm breaking the PPC in about 6h.

Just a couple thoughts:
I strung my Head G360 Speed Pro with Tourna Big Hitter Silver 7 Tour 17g at 50lbs and it’s pretty stiff so if you string it real low, I think it should still offer some good control.
I also strung my Pro Staff 97 with Volkl Cyclone Tour 16g (prestretched) at 53lbs and it plays nice and soft. I would recommend prestretching it though because this soft string doesn’t have the best tension maintenance.

Thanks for the replies. I strung my RF97 with Gamma Zo Power 16L at 38# with extended pull (30seconds or more) on a dropweight stringer.

The first 30 minutes of hitting (in less than 12h after stringing), the stringbed felt completely dead - it felt as if I was hitting with a piece of cardboad. My elbow didn't like the vibrations either.

In the second outing a day later, I added a vibration dampener. The string also relaxed and the playability greatly improved. I like it. I need more practice on the touch voley, where the bounce of the racquet is a bit unpredictable and goes long. Otherwise, everything works well.

I think the weight and stiffness of the RF97 pairs well with low tension poly. The lowest I've tried is 40 lbs TB Soft 17 and it definitely does't feel like cardboard. You might try some other strings.

I also think it depends on the string. It was a pain to tie the knots with this Zo Power, it was like a wire. I will try 36# next time.

49 and 50 was the lowest I could get with tension on the RF97 and still control it. That being said stringing at these tensions the racquet would lose control at the initial drop off. Strings used:
Solinco Tourbite
Solinco Hyper G
Alu Power
BHS7T
BHB7
Volkl Cyclone
Volkl Cyclone Tour
Isospeed Baseline
Head Hawk
Head Hawk Touch
Head Sonic Pro
RPM Blast

Alu Power 52-55 was about the best but 3hrs in may as well cut it out.

I have mine at 50lbs with Hyper G. It is almost too much power. I need to go a few pounds tighter.
